Did you press and hold the UV light to dismiss the red indicator to change the filter? Hold it for about 5 seconds and it resets to green. Also I would highly recommend an air compressor to clean the charcoal pre-filter. If you dont have access to a air compressor just go outside and vacuum it. Never vacuum the filters inside the home. Vacuums are bad as they will reintroduce the bad stuff back into your air. Unless you are running a vacuum with builtin hepa filtration.

Mine is an older model to it doesn't have filter change light, I wish it did! Good point on the vacuuming, my vacuum has a built in hepa so I didn't even think of that.

Greetings, Thanks for the video. Is it very informative. I got the AC5250 not so long ago. When the UV feature is on. A blue tube inside the unit lights up. I am guessing that's the UV-C light. I know these type of lights are harmful to skin or eyes. I don't understand why is this light viewable and not concealed inside the machine? Thank you.

Instead of replacing the Hepa Filter, can I simply vacuum the filter? Would you recommend this? Thank you for your video also!

Sorry, I'm just seeing your comment! Yes, I do vacuum my filter, but you will need to replace it eventually. For example I have a similar smaller unit in my son's room which I vacuum regularly but when I went to vacuum it the other day it was so stuck in there I couldn't get it clean and that was the black charcoal filter, the actual hepa filter part was gray and gross and so I ordered new filters and replaced them. Essentially if your filter isn't clean it's not doing you any good. Hope this helps!
