What I love about you Brian is, that you make a real effort to put all the knowledge you gather into context and create a comprehensible framework. A lot of people who read a lot and talk about those principles, don't do this.

The book "The Power of Full Engagement"; playing poorly well, and willpower speaks volume to me, because I have good and consistent morning and evening practices; yet, I am not achieving arete. I am not managing my energy and activity properly. Always have energy reserves, except for emergencies and RARE CASES OF EXTREME SPIRITUAL, MENTAL, AND PHYSICAL TRAINING. GURU JOHNSON, YOU ARE AN AWESOME MAN!

Yehuda HaMaccabi Arete is a wonderful ideal only occasionally truly experienced! :)

***** Thank you for your response. Is Arete occasionally experienced, because humans are complacent by nature? In order to experience Arete, humans must "stretch his or her comfort zone", on a daily basis. Do you agree with this statement?
@HeroicBrian
9 жыл бұрын
Yehuda HaMaccabi Hmmmm... Good questions! I'd say yes re: comfort zone! And I'm not sure it's so much complacency that gets in the way as much as conditioning and some sub-optimal habits! But I do think it's essential to celebrate our moments of connection as we have fun optimizing and actualizing to experience them even more consistently, eh?! :)

***** Thank you for your response. I agree, with regards to conditioning and sub-optimal habits. We should celebrate those moments of connection, and have fun optimizing and actualizing our lives. Once we celebrate, we can forget to keep making progress, which results in 'good' and not 'great'.

I can't wait for my first class with you Brian :) It looks like that class is gonna be the collection of all bestsellers books on productivity distilled in one class, wow! Love your job and your generosity to share with us your wisdom. I'm Whatching the optimal living 101, they're awesome and the animations really really cool. Would be great if you could always teach that way, but I know you've got tons of stuff to be done. God bless you, your family and your awesome business. Have a great day, from Brazil :)

cristian cris Big smile and another big thanks, Cristian! YES!! I'm really excited to head back into the studio and do a *ton* of videos like that. Current fun vision is to have 1,000 "micro lessons" (2-5 minutes) on all things optimal living. This year, I'm focused on the next wave of Notes as I hunt for worthy Ideas. Really appreciate your idea and support!!

'I love your enthusiasm and your wisdom Brian! This video is a great EXAMPLE of how much amazing info you pull from! I only wish that I would've known by the title that it was more of an advert than anything: ( That's just my own opinion. However, I understand that need to market something for all of the time, energy, $, etc., that you put into your channel! Just a thought. I'm still very grateful to have found you!

The content is awesome as always, but what I want to know is how you learned to visualise your notes like that? The clearness and look of your notes is great. Where could I learn that? I often have great insights but when I write them down they somehow lose a lot of their magic..
