Of all the planes in our inventory, the B-52 has always been my favorite. I loved watching the real things take off with a roar. I can't even imagine how much time and money it took to get your beautiful ship up in the air. Amazing and very realistic. Thanks for posting.

Dude if you work hard to earn your money and you have a passion or hobby in life, then the sky's the limit! Hobbies are healthy and help keep people sane, productive members of society lol! You shouldn't judge someone, especially for doing something constructive like this. I bet these guys put alot of hard work, cross-referencing, and craftsmanship into this build, they didn't just wish for it to happen! This is amazing, and I loved watching every second of this video! Spectacular!

Excellent! The only thing missing is the heavy black smoke.
@rickw2776
8 жыл бұрын
+Mikeishere1st Just for GP's, only the older B-52D's with the older engines blew out all that black smoke. The smoke was caused by a water injection system that cooled the airflow thru the engines during take-off to produce a little more thrust. Why it's was black I never got a good answer. Older Tankers (KC-135's) did the same thing. Noisy as hell on take-off. The B-52's in service today are newer (relatively) G and H models and have been re-engined with TF-33 engines that are a mild by-pass type that didn't need the water for the power needed for TO. Not to be a know-it-all. I just love the damn things. One of the reasons I even joined the Air Force was just to be able to work on them.
@bruceapearce5885
8 жыл бұрын
+Rick Wening Actually, it was an alcohol/water mixture. And the extra thrust was a result of the liquid turning to steam. BTW: I joined the Air Force for the same reason and got my wish.

SUCH A BEAUTIFUL MODEL B-52! I saved this video to show to a friend to give him an incentive to build something like this. He has been bored lately and I know he has the knowledge and talent to do this. It is an exciting time to build planes and helicopters since there is so much technology and it is more afordable these days -although I know this is a costly hobby. Can anyone tell me what the body of a model plane like this is made out of? I am guessing plastic but I am not sure?

As with any hobby where you create things with your hands you gain a sense of achievement. You can stand back and enjoy your creation as it temporarily escapes the grip of gravity under its own power and returns to earth in one piece. If you can not appreciate this you are dead inside.
That is one BIG Kickass B52 or BUFF,Big Fat Ugly F-ellow,you can put that one in if you want,anyway was well impressed with that,I would be totally scared Sh-oops,stupid if I twitched the wrong lever and sent it vertical,and that landing well it would not have cracked an egg it was pure and total pleasure to watch and listen to that baby strut her stuff. You have built a real crowd pleaser there,Brilliant Guys.

@paul0367 I'm not entirely sure it was pilot error. I believe it may have been mechanical. If you watch the crash video, you should notice that it begins to bank to the right, more and more. Even after the dive has reached a point where it becomes unrecoverable, it still continues to turn in that direction. I believe a servo locked up on him, and caused the crash.

That's an amazing model. It's so large as to make it difficult to call it a "model." Next thing you know they will be making model planes so large a person could actually sit in and use the controls on board. Oh, yes, they already do. They are called airplanes.
