If the UK has stayed with that design, today they would beat out all of the current airlines. I'm surprised they didn't take back up the design since it's still more advanced than many that fly today. And much more modern design. I'm so sick of the 747 design it's disgusting.

Stunning! How much must that thing be worth? Looked just like the real thing when it became airborne.

if I had this I would be hanging up on the roof of my room. The De Havilland comet is a beautiful aircraft. If I had the money to own a real one I would. But flying a RC one would be great. the Engines I'm sure are custom made because of the way they played inside of the real jet.

This model is powered by 2 Jetcat P160 turbines. They produce 36 pounds of thrust each and are about $3,000 each, just for the engine.

You'd need some bloody strong thread and a big drawing pin to hang that from yer ceiling.

"Comet"...a big fire ball that falls from the sky....hmmm maybe the name tempted fate for the real aircraft.....shame so many people died on the full size.my thoughts go out to all those lost in the sky's before metal fatigue was full understood.

avman180 Agree with you. Rare skills these days to build something like this. Acquried over many decades of aero-modelling I suspect. Makes you appreciate it even more when you see if flying. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
