Imagine you step in front of a national audience with a felon on one side of you, a famous talk show host who's a comedian and actor and you spontaneously take over the show and without exception get them, the show staff and the audience to continually start laughing nonstop with an unrehearsed improvisation. Gilbert does that habitually. Personal Addition: April 20, 2022 I am going to miss Gilbert. Been a week or so since he passed. I didn't want to think about his death, so I've distracted myself by other means. But to think I'll never hear him again, his great talent with new material is very sad. My only consolation is my belief that life never dies, that we've always been a Cosmos of conscious entities. Meaning one day I'll find the spirit and life force of Gilbert and enjoy him again. Till then, my spirit is Earth bound.

@RN Anderson not debating anything here with ya. Just my opinion. Matter is energy. Heaven & Hell is what you make this life that we're aware of. Right now, in this moment; every one before this point in time, during it & after. Heaven and hell are what you make of your life and time. We may only get one go round at it in this form of recollection and remembrance. Make it a good one. .

There's no heaven or hell unless you create it on Earth for yourself. That would be like believing Superman has a crystal palace near the North Pole. It's like believing The River of Death has a rowboat for a ferry. It's like believing Santa on cold winter nights has never once landed in a fire and burned hiss ass off. It's like believing Joe Biden has any independent will power and isn't taking orders from George Soros. It's like believing Roseann Arnold is one of the best National Anthem singers ever. It's like believing Will Smith and his hairless dog have a good marriage and it won't end up being like another Simpson incident. Sorry Will. Don't existentially slap me. It's like believing Hip Hop is a dance usually done by those who received a high school diploma. It's like believing Whoopi Goldberg was unbiased even when she's on the Oscars Board Misdirectors composed of socially politically correct minority celebs. It's like believing Putin is a totally sane leader and the Russian people aren't scared crapless. It's like believing Ukraine is a totally innocent country and never caused grief or terror on others.

Comedy is supposed to be crude, because its always a satirical point of view ... its also a display that you can talk about things we already know as a society, but are too afraid to really say what we truly feel because of fear of backlash, especially in todays world. You will never again have the type of comedy we had back in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Sure people can be funny still, but the essence of it is slowly fading. Wanna see crude? Watch Gilbert Roast George Takei for being gay... It was off the wall , side splitting hilarious.. and the truth is, in todays world. it would be severely offensive, but in that time , people laughed at the jokes even if they were the target.

Near the end of the clip, Gilbert asks, "So who did you vote for on the Elvis stamp?" In the early 90's, the Postal Service took a poll on which picture to use for an upcoming stamp - a young Elvis, or the middle-aged Elvis, who ended up being a model for millions of Elvis impersonators. (I just realized it would not be a bad idea to be a "Young Elvis" impersonator, especially since the market seems far from glutted.) One day, I was with someone doing a poll for his own local humor magazine, asking, "Young Elvis or Old Elvis?" and a mailman on the street answered, "Dead Elvis."
