That’s why I do not like the whole conniption over something someone will not know. Like people misgender me. If I feel the need, I say what I prefer and then I go on my way. I really don’t try to start a fight over it. It’s a one time thing, if people don’t want to respect that, I literally just go on with my life and just not really talk to them anymore. It’s just how it goes sometimes. Chill out. Unless you’re being physically or verbally attacked, then it is just not something to scream out like you just went into a battle of the ages.

Bruh, I looked for the account on tiktok and found it. Yes, pronouns are set to they/them, but literally has "lesbian" in the @ and uses the nickname "pronoun GAL". For someone who gets triggered when they're misgendered they're using gendered words in their own bio. How do you call yourself "gal" but cry when someone else calls you a "lady"? You can't pick and choose what triggers you because of aesthetics. Also, referring to their non-binary partner as a wife, which is a gendered term. You can't pick and choose what triggers you because of aesthetics. (And I respected their pronouns, they cant be triggered at me now. Non-binary is perfectly legit, but they aren't even sticking to their own pronouns.)

@@sylverscale Eh, gender dysphoria isn't a mental illness. It is just a reaction of discomfort when you're misgendered. Anyone can experience it. I'm a trans person, and I react the same way when I get misgendered as Dominique does. Honestly, I think the TikToker's reaction was more one of confrontation anxiety than gender dysphoria.

Okay, so I'm a gay trans man. This... is truly embarrassing to the community. The only normal/societally acceptable pronouns that were in that compilation were she/they. The rest? I mean, yes, I'll use them if that's what you ask me to use. But I have a hard time believing anyone truly uses them, aside from being online. Those weren't pronouns, they were just normal nouns. And getting kicked out of a bar? They *had* to have been being worse than just correcting someone. I work in a liquor store, and while that's not a bar, a lot of the same rules apply. And you have to be harassing someone or being outright violent in order to be removed/kicked out/banned.

She kicks off the video by saying into the camera, "I appreciate you for being you and I love you." I'd be perfectly comfortable writing that off as being another ridiculously disingenuous tag line, but the reality is much more pathetic. This is a demented line of reasoning so commonplace today, especially among content creators. "I love you" is synonymous with "I love views, I love likes and subscriptions, I love attention." In other words, she says "I love you" to a bunch of strangers. There could be murderers, chilx molesters, mail fraudsters, or identity theives in the mix. But she means it. It's genuine, if only for how twisted her idea of love is.

Here in Brazil, When we see that someone is wanting a lot of attention, we usually say that this person wants a "Biscoito" (Cookie). We also suggest to that person, who wants our attention, hang a watermelon around their neck (that's a popular saying around here) (English is not my first language, sorry for any mistakes)

So part of her social media handle is her referring to herself as a "lesbian" and she referred to her partner as her "wife" and it's somehow the end of the world and inappropriate to be called a "lady" by mistake when she herself is making feminine references to both of them...? I'm a bit lost....

I don't hate the lgbt community, but I've had a lot more negative experiences with people in it than people who aren't, which only makes me resent it. Again I don't hate it or against it, but I definitely don't support it either because people often labeled me and treated me horribly just like how they claim they are treated as well.
@AnonymousSilence-nd3zb

That's not exactly a positive way to look at it, either. Saying you don't support it because you've had bad experiences with individuals in the group shouldn't lead you to resent the entire group as a whole. Calling out people for behaving a certain way, like entitled, is one thing. It's fair and valid. But you can't just blanket paint the whole community as this.

I don't hate those that choose to live as the opposite gender they were born with, it's when they start insulting those of us that "identify" the gender and body parts we were born with and when they want to use the same restrooms and changing rooms because their level of comfortability and "safety" are more important than ours, that's when I started having a problem. And this uproar about mis gendering people, they dress, act and behave so confusing, how TF are we supposed to deal with that. A small percentage of people are pushing and expecting the rest of us to not only go along with it, but agree with it. What used to be a right, an opinion, a belief, well, we're not allowed to have that anymore. Instead we're called hateful and trans phobic. We can't even be "straight" and left alone, if we only want to date the opposite gender of what we are, we're trans phobic, but I'm not trans phobic because I choose to only be with men, the ones that were born biological males. I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO CHOOSE FOR MYSELF AND MY LIFE. They need to stay out of my life and I will stay out of theirs.
@AnonymousSilence-nd3zb

@MsBatbird It's not about them being more important than us or they need to be more protected than us. The L.G.B.T.Q. community has experienced a lot of persecution and violence for thousands of years, and it persists even into this, the modern era. It's not that they need more protection because they're somehow more important than those not in that community, but they do need protections because of the persecution they have faced and continue to face, especially in the United States alone. Calling someone out for acting the way this person did in the video, which is excessively entitled, is one thing. They're getting upset over people unintentionally mislabeling them and treating it as if they're deliberately being hostile and mislabeling them intentionally, blowing a small issue out of proportion in its own context. But you can't then use that as an excuse to deny them their humanity as they are. If you choose to have the "opinion" that people who identify as trans aren't or aren't valid or are confused or what have you... you can have that opinion if you're an American. Nobody's denying you your right to think that way. But people are going to call you out for it because that line of thinking is transphobic, yes. Just very passive-aggressive transphobia. Trust me. Nobody's trying to butt into your life or interfere with your life. You just look at it that way because of a few individuals in the community who act this way and think it applies to every single person in it.

You have to understand they have been through a lot of torment and they have been badly damaged by the society hence they want to damage anything that is not like them... the only way is to see them with compassion.. and try to heal them through that.... just be grateful that you are not them..

I’m nonbinary who goes by they/them. but at work, I get called miss, sweetheart, and yes, lady, every single day. if I had a mental breakdown every time it happened to me I would’ve been fired a LONG time ago. they’re strangers, their opinions literally don’t matter. only the people who I care about and who care about me matter. she has extremely unrealistic expectations about how the world works and she’s going to end up in a straight jacket if she doesn’t get a grip.

It was annoying from the start but the moment she started in with the whole trigger warning that's(in my opinion used easy too much these days) as a person who personally understands the meaning behind it. It's just frustrating to hear people in soft cry baby poor me voices talk like they really just had a horrible & complete life changing experience . When really most people under the age of 25 would most likely consider that same experience LIFE , without going on Tik-Tok and having a mental breakdown!

At first without seeing the entire title I read that as “Woman has a mental breakdown over being called lazy” and instantly I started thinking of ways I could understand why that would upset someone to that point. Possibly if you grew up with parents who called you lazy when you really tried your best, and maybe even struggled helplessly with depression or other issues, besides mental illness. Then I read “lady”. I literally have the song called “She’s a lady” in my Musi playlist and it’s tbh the most romantic song I’ve ever heard.
