Med Kit list and description. Remember i am NOT a vet this is simply what I choose to do for my herd based on my experience, research, and consults with professionals.
*Milk of Magnesia (15cc/60lbs, Orally, every 4 hours until normal for poisoning, enterotoxemia)
*Ivermectin Pour-On for Cattle (1cc/50lbs, topically like flea or tick drops. repeat in 10 days)
*Bio-Mycin 200 (1cc/20lbs, SubQ, daily for 5 days for pneumonia, URI, hoof rot, pink eye)
*Copper Bolus (1gram/22lbs, orally, every 3/6 months as needed for copper deficiency)
*Wormers from 2 different classes ( dosage depends on brand this is easily googled)
*Thermometer (normal goat temp is 101-103F)
*Needles and Syringes (20 needles 1inch long. variety of syringes 3ml-20ml)
*Vita-Jec B-Complex fortified (1cc/20lbs, SubQ, every 6 hours for polio)
*Liquid Ibuprofen (dosage is double the human weight, orally, every 8 hours for pain relief and fever reducer)
*Therabloat (5cc/100lb, orally, follow package instructions)
*Hand Sanitizer (this should be obvious ;) )
*Calcium Drench (follow bottle instructions, for Milk Fever/Hypocalcemia)
*Corid (6cc/25lbs, orally, once daily for 5 days to treat coccidiosis)
*Mineral Oil (100-200cc, drenched, to treat bloat)
*Colostrum Powder (follow instructions, for orphaned kids)
*Ammonium Chloride (1.5teaspoons dissolved in liquid, orally, 7-10 days to treat urinary blockage)
*Iodine wound spray (follow package instructions, for navel dip on kids or wounds)
*Hairdryer (for warming up hypodermic kids)
*Alcohol prep pads (use to prep bottle for drawing up injections)
*Activated Charcoal (1 Tablespoon, orally, for poisoning)
*Bo-Se (.5cc, SubQ, once, for weak kids. 2.5cc yearly booster for adults if in deficient area)
*Banimaine (1cc/100lbs, SubQ, every 12 hours for pain relief and fever reduction, do not continue for more than 3 days)
