This Customer called us out after a previous mechanic replaced the thermostat and coolant temp sensor and a pigtail. We went out the first time and found the pigtail was mangled. We repaired that test drove with the husband. The vehicle worked great. No more AC kicking off and fans going on high speed. We called it done. Later that night we got a phone call. Saying that it started acting up again, so of course standing behind our work we do not charge to go back out. Come to find out what we did. The first day was still perfect. Turns out the poor quality parts. The other technician installed in the vehicle is what is failing the second time around. We could’ve charged the customer for this visit, but we chose not to because they got screwed over by the other mechanic multiple times You will hear at the end of this video that we suggest they purchase better parts and have us install them if they would like. If we do go out to do this job, we will only install GM authorized parts on this vehicle because it has been known to give them problems . That way we know there is good quality parts and if there’s ever a chance of having P0128 code again we will know it probably is not the GM parts.
