if you've done 13 halfs, your golden. Just get your long runs in. Don't be a fool like I was and make sure to keep up on flexibility and mobility.

My first ever race is August 25th! A half marathon! I am excited and nervous. Very nervous. My pace is 17-18 mins per mile right now so the half marathon is going to take me approximately 4 hours (cut off time is 6 hours). I don’t have any pace goals, I just want to finish 😊 Watching a lot of your videos to keep me focused! Love your videos, Holly!!

Thank you, been watching a lot of your videos. Just finished half marathon but I'm dealing with anterior shin splints and purple toe nail. I think when I jog i must be either constantly flexing my ankle or toes causing both problems. Gotta figure it out as I know I have the mental fortitude to accomplish my ultimate goal, 50 mile ultra w/10k elevation.

That would be a good guess for the cause of those problems! See if you can prop your phone and get a little video of you running toward and past the camera (from multiple angles). Then slow that down and see if you can pinpoint anything. I know you can accomplish a 50 like that!!

@@gofarsogood thanks for the reply, i'm actually on the wait-list for a run clinic thru my medical insurance which is exactly what they'll do but a physical therapist will be doing the evaluation soooo even better :) And yea that Ultra is next year in March
