I never realized these were smaller than the regular cocktail time! I own the 'blue moon' and love it, although with its 40.5mm its at the upper limit of what this style of watch should reasonably be (for someone with a normal wrist size); 38.5 is probably a crowd pleaser. As you said on the video, the crystal on mine has indeed picked up a few small scratches, which is to be expected with a domed mineral. Btw I've heard that the crystal on these is glued, so not easy to replace when it inevitably does become scratched. I have mine on the steel bracelet - perfectly suited for everyday wear, not just dressy occasions imho!

Thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment 😊 Jody of Just One More Watch made a video on how you can restore the crystal yourself, but... It's not an easy task!

Ive been wearing this for little over a yr now and i love it. Only problem is got very tiny scratch because Seiko has to use "hardlex" crystal 🔮🙄

Gorgeous dial but lazy, mediocre case, fully polished like a damn 40 dollar cheap watch.

@@dorudragoescu1311 definitely a let-down from an otherwise gorgeous watch. Thanks for watching Doru 🙂

I own the “old clock”, and I adore that blue patterned dial. Since I bought it, I always had a thought of “maybe I should have bought the ‘mojito’? Yet my reasoning was and is that owning the Sarb017 fills the rubric of green and gold colours.

@@Zotrax1946 I've reviewed a SARB017 a few years ago and while I think it's a better watch than the Mojito, that Guilloché dial on the Mojito looks much nicer than the green Alpinist dial. Still you are lucky to own both the Alpinist and the Old Clock 😊

Ya I own the Mojito and I always thought "maybe I should have bought the old clock" lol. I don't think u can go wrong with any of them. I was very close to buying the red one (I forget the name but I really liked that one as well)

Everyone should have a Seiko Cocktail Time in their collection. As long as you get your head around having to change straps, you will never be disappointed

I never bought one because they're poor value. Besides the dial on a Cocktail Time, everything else is maddeningly cheap and poorly manufactured, especially at a €400 price point that will buy you two San Martin watches of significantly higher quality. It's all design and branding, and I'm honestly not willing to pay for that.

What a beautiful shade of green! I think this is the prettiest version between those available! Seiko really know how to make a great dial! Wow you are right! I never knew that about the hands. Brushed vs polished does make for a dynamic lighting effect! No love for the strap huh hahaha! Fair criticisms bro. It has strengths and weaknesses but overall a great watch. Value for money when new? I don't think so. Second hand it could be a great acquisition! Be blessed brother! God bless you and your family!

After all these years, it’s still a stunning watch, but Seiko is definitely not the value proposition it once was. Is it still worth buying? Absolutely. Is it still worth the money…🤷🏻♂️Thanks for the great review, and you can’t go wrong quoting Shane. 👍🏼

It’s a beautiful dial seemingly reduced by poor strap and lack of sapphire, shame it’s such a scratch magnet and the finishing doesn’t meet the quality of the dial. A mixed bag, great work boss.
