Along a bustling stretch of Boren Avenue, Fahnbulleh is sharing the vibrant flavors of West Africa with folks in Seattle.
"I would say it's the foundation of soul food, west African food. That's how I would describe it," said Fahnbulleh.
Fahnbulleh is the chef at owner of Gold Coast Ghal Kitchen. She started the business back in 2017, running a successful pop-up doing dinners and catering while also working full-time. Then, in late 2023, Fahnbulleh opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant, marking a massive step in a journey that all started because she was looking for a taste of home.
