No offense to the micro green growers , I think they are great . However, I’m getting really really tired of going to farmers markets all over the country ( I’m a truck driver) and seeing half the market being greens. I get the small grow space high profit, but wow 😯 can we please get some variety of foods ? I like diversity of foods . There has to be profitable foods other than greens out there. Please do a video on non greens and profits , thank you .

My wife was diagnosed with Gastro Paresis after her vegas nerve was nicked during a stomach surgery. Since then, she suffers tremendous pain because of her inability to digest plant fiber. I'm a home chef and cooking for her became difficult because she was not able to handle the food that I was growing on our homestead. I decided to try growing microgreens. She is able to tolerate them well juiced with her protein powders! She's now getting the nutrients she needs for good health, and you damn well better bet your ass I'm using some triton radish greens as a garnish on her sweet potato and carrot puree with homemade yogurt. :D My setup allows me to harvest two trays per day year round. We eat one tray and sell one tray which allows us to pay for seeds and materials. We grow hydro on biostrate felt under T5 HO, T8, and MH. Can't wait to try the Red Vein Sorrel you showed. That looks amazing. Maybe I should build a greenhouse and try to make money with this skill.

Absolutely inspiring! I'm currently in the process of building an 800,000w vertical farm for arugula and videos like this give me an extra jolt of energy. Congrats and keep going. The market for microgreens keeps growing, because more and more people are finding out about their nutrient density.

Are there bugs allowed in these greenhouses, or are they VERY clean with no insects whatsoever except the occasional gnats that may pop up? Thank you very much for the upload of this video. I am 60, my husband has unfortunately died this year at Munich Germany and I like to return next year to my home country Switzerland, because my son is cook in Switzerland, and am searching 1) a good idea for survival, and 2) ideas for the people there, how to survive the Maunder Solar Minimum. Concerning the Maunder Solar Minimum see on KZitem the research by e.g. Prof. Valentina Zharkova, John L. Casey, Habibullo Abdussamatov (leading russian astrophysicist), Piers Corbyn, Rolf Witzsche etc., who's reseach was suppressed by IPCC and the stupid CO2 lie from Al Gore. The prognosis of Deagel is for Switzerland unfortunately the worst - maby due to the Maunder Solar Minimum. My experience is only 3 years of work at Green City e.V. Munich with normal gardening of vegetables and herbs. QUESTIONS: 1) Does this planting of microgreens work with less sun light? 2) and also with only artificial light? If yes, what light is needed?

This ACTUAL farm is "Good Water Farms" in East Hampton, NY they are my inspiration, but if you have questions about THIS farm please contact them at (631) 604-1310. Not even the company "Sprouts" sells _sprouts_ because of the potential for bacteriological pathogens. But we don't create "Sprouts" we create "Microgreens" which are different in subtle ways. 1) Sprouts are created in a moist environment and can potentially be contaminated with various bacteria including E. Coli, then the stem, seed and root are eaten at point-of-sale. 2) Microgreens are planted in soil, ground coconut husks (coco coir), or natural or artificial fiber mats. They are grown and harvested above the soil or mat line ... no seeds or roots are ever consumed by a customer. Microgreens can be contaminated with various "molds", but the potential for "bacteria" contamination is very, very low. There have been wide spread and deadly outbreaks of E. Coli contamination of sprouts in the E.U. which has put a chill on the commercial industry. You can sprout yourself at home ... but we agree that Microgreens are safer and better .. That's why we are called ... www.MicrogreensLA.com We use dilute solutions of H2O2 (Hydrogen Peroxide) ... It's OMRI listed and breaks down to water and oxygen. It's a highly reactive oxidizing agent ( strong acid ) and is excellent for clean and serialization. We never use anything else to clear our equipment and flats that are being cleaned for re-use. We will shortly be "Registered" Organic by the State of California and are pursuing USDA Organic status.

So, did you sell more by cutting to order at the market in front of them out of the trays, or coming with them already cut ready to sell? Do you think taking a few trays to cut for "show" and have the rest already cut before hand be the best option? At least until they know what microgreens are? Sorry for all the questions. I'm thinking about trying this myself is why I'm asking.

I cut at the point-of-sale at the farmers market, some producers grow in containers that are sold with the product at the point of sale, so they are LIVING when the customers gets them home. Microgreens are not really for cooking ... they are "finishers" ... Salt, Pepper ... Microgreens ... just before eating.
