My Dad said to me that before the war they moved from Lion St in town to Tuebrook as it was a well to do area.How times have changed, glad he can't see it today.Its dramatically changed since I was there in the 70s.

Well done 👏 I am day 17 at meetings and got my basic text book last week. As Billy says the opposite of addiction is connection and the meetings are giving me that. I too struggle to share however I have stopped fixating on it and I am sure it will come in time. Keep going back 😊

I've never had no trouble since 91 , on granby st, and we got surrounded by six black lads wi long leather Mac's on, and they were flashing the metal wear in the jackets, and took our money, about a oner, which was loads back then to us little scallies , but luckily we knew someone just walking past who we come to see, and he got the money and vouched for us, and after that they were proper gentleman with us, great time great memories, ✌️👍.

She is a Grand Old Lady & was the first purpose built Football stadium in England. I am an Evertonian but my favourite strip as a Kid was Wolves & back in the late 60’s I got one as a Christmas present. Football training at school everybody was there in blue or red except me in my Old Gold & Black kit.

Been on Merseyside 13 years . Originally from Swansea South Wales . Lived in Liverpool for 6 years . Aigburth L17 Rosslyn Street. Worked in Speke and the scousers are very unique… their sense of humour is top notch and you have to experience the city to know it . Got great memories of drinking in town , Lark Lane , smithdown Road . Delivered parcels all around the city and got to know it well. There’s no place in the world like Liverpool and you look after a scouser you literally have a friend for life . Is Right Lad 🏴

Always been rough and ready round there, it’ll be a shame to see goodison go. I worked there a lot about twenty years ago so feel like I know it well. (I’m a red). The smell of the place, it’ll all be gone when it’s bulldozed. Still, a great new stadium to move to, I reckon the fans won’t look back.

I used to work at an estate Agents on County Road called Williams Estate Office in the '90's. It was on the corner of Ismay Street. We were agents for Goodison and took the rent from the tenants and took care of any repair work. Goodison own most of the houses in the streets in Walton and looked after them really well.

Remember walking down that street towards where the Sharpey mural is now with my Dad in about 1975. He'd just parked his car and as we got out, a youngin comes up tus saying "mind yer car mate"? Dad gave him 50p and said he'd give him another 50p when the match was over. My 10 year old mind said "Dad, that little boy was real nice, looking after or car and all". Dad just smiled and said, yeah, nice kid....

As a Utd fan, I can tell you when city left Maine Road and moved to the Emtyhead, all the boozers in Rusholme went to the wall. Now most bluesnose drink in town and walk to the ground or jib the tram. EFC's New stadium looks great but will it still have that communal feel? As the great man Sir Matt said 'Football, without fans is Nothing'!

Lived in the Netley pub (now a pizza shop) 76-82 as a kid - great but tough times. Area was tough then but its definitely worse now economically. Area is a lot more transient now with bottom rung landlords happy to let properties be a dumping ground for all sorts.

Used to drink the Tapas bar on County Road before games. Seguras, shut down now. Had a few friends and family who left Liverpool and were flabbergasted when they heard about a tapas bar in County Road. It’s not the prettiest place but it’s a good place

One thing I will say about Walton compared to A field, is that EFC put 10 x more back in the local community than the redshite, also although economically deprived, the streets are much cleaner, probably due to the fact more scousers live in the neighborhood.
