What a beautiful run. Looks pretty difficult too! Great footage, thank you for sharing. I love how I can tell when you're analyzing and making the decision about how to approach the next obstacles. One of the reasons I prefer backcountry and tree skiing over groomed runs!

To me groomed runs look boring on camera. It's one reason you won't see them as much on this channel, unless it's something special (ish) or just to show something different from usual. For example I have been skiing Willoughby at Burke most of my life. I have seen it in so many different kinds of conditions, but my favorite is probably when it is pristine groomed semi-firm but consistent. Amazing. Another groomed trail that is iconic to me is Sluice to Spillway at Sugarloaf. Probably some of my highest speeds achieved ever while skiing.

@@mybadvideos Don't forget White Heat at Sunday River, you can bomb that pretty fast too. I haven't been to Sugarloaf but I hear that their White Nitro trail is also pretty good for that.

Mad river glen really makes it difficult to even find the trail.

re: "heading out that way" be prepared, don't go alone, and know that mandatory cliff drops are likely!

Nice. I always take my skis off and walk instead of side stepping. It seems so much easier to me.

Not the first day, I've skied it 4 other days this season! Definitely best of the season though!

Should I go to mad river on saturday? (I usually go to sugarbush every weekend)

Forecast looks quite cold so it may be quieter than a normal weekend! Hopefully the conditions hold up for you. MRG Saturday, Sugarbush on Sunday?

Wrap your poll straps under your wrist, not over your thumb.

I know that's the advice, but I've done it this way my whole life and have yet to get a major thumb injury...I do take them off in the woods now though! Force of habit.
