Gougeres is a traditional appetizer in french kitchen. These light cheese puffs are easy to make if you follow few rules when doing dough "pate a choux".
Ingredients (approximately for 8 people) for cheese puffs / gougeres:
✔️ 250 ml / 8.5 fl oz water
✔️ 2 g / 0.07 oz salt
✔️ 100 g / 3.5 oz butter
✔️ 150 g / 5.3 oz flour
✔️ 4 eggs + 1 egg yolk
✔️ 100 g / 3.5 oz strong hard cheese, can be a mix of cheeses
✔️ nutmeg
