Excerpt from a quarter peal of Grandsire, conducted by Mark Chittenden-Pile, and a lower on the back 6 of this good country 8, with a very low ceiling! Horsmonden band was once renowned for being a hub of S Minor (in the days when they were still a 6.) The bells were augmented by Taylors in 1954, and rehung by Whitechapel in 1997 with the 3 in a frame atop the others.
This was the final quarter peal of the day (Coleman's Hatch, Withyham, Chiddingstone and Tonbridge being the others, all variably uploaded by Mark and myself) and, although the band was tiring, I think we saved the best quarter of the day until last!! Enjoy :-)
