I love how well you can hear Keith in this mix, lovely!

1972 Grateful Dead is like 1986 Boston Celtics. Just a well oiled machine, firing on all cylinders, absolute peak performance, unstoppable. Garcia still so hungry here, with a limitless creative output, young, with a crystal clear vision of where he wanted to take it all, and the rest of the band very confidently up to the task. And I have to recognize Keith once again here, stepping in and making contributions, particularly on the long jams that are inspired and blend seamlessly. Mr. Dayjob with another fine pick, congratulations sir.

@@hubertsumlin9697 yes he certainly was. Bird won the MVP, Walton the 6th man award in 86. And 72? UCLA goes undefeated and win championship under Coach Wooden and Walton at center. And in the off season he was living in a teepee and following the Dead. Walton, not Wooden, but I digress

Absolutely Michael, they were on fire for all of '72. The crazy thing was that their music was also evolving super fast that year too - the Veneta Dead is a very different band from Europe '72 Dead but they are both amazing.

No problem Liam! I was born too late to see them live too; we're so lucky to have all of these amazing recordings and a community of people always finding new ways to explore them.
