Just converted mine today with the Mr. Gasket 42 electric fuel pump 1-4 psi I mounted it under the right side panel. I just disconnected the old one and just left it there. Removed all the old fuel lines and re ran the new ones from the fuel tank under the seat and to the left side under the side cover than back up under the tank to the carb inlet. It was a piece of cake. Works great. Black and Blue is your power and green is your ground. Bike even seems to run better. Total cost with new fuel lines aswel was $ 60 Bought fuel pump from autozone and fuel lines too. The stock fuel system by Honda is not very good or reliable.

Hey thanks so much for posting on KZitem that was very very helpful. I have spent the last several weeks trying to figure out why my bike wouldn't start and you figured it out in your video. That was extremely helpful ... thanks again Chris

Just found this video . Bike has been down for 3 days. Removed pump and changed to gravity feeding the carbs . Started working. 5 minutes to remove pump and reconnect hoses and I'm back in the wind. Thanks!!

Thanks dude, that's exactly the problem I'm having, love the dramatic music, I hope you were able to solve the problem with the new fuel pump.

You don't need the pump just go right to the carb . They only added the pump for government regulations that is no longer in place . If you do just buy another pump just remember you can cut the line between the cut off valve and the filter and add a T ,a short piece of line leading to a small plastic shut off valve like you would use on a lawn mower line and another filter and another small piece of line to another T and join that into the line that goes into the carb . This way if the pump ever stops pumping again you can just open the cut off valve and gas from the tank will go to the carb and you can cruise on down the road .Once the valve is on and you see there is no difference in the pump and the gravity fed line at any speed or amount of throttle you give it , you will probable never turn the valve off . I think I paid about 15 dollars for the 2 tees ,piece of gas line that you cut to go between the fuel cut off valve and filter ,small filter ,10 small clamps and shut off valve . Its worth 15 dollars to never get stuck on the side of the road even if you still use the pump . You can do this on any bike that the pitcock is high than the carb .

You can just run the gas line to the carbs with no fuel pump and they will run just fine. The problem is there is little room for a filter in between the tank and the carbs.

hey, demarcoz11, what happened to me was last year on the day of the eclipse, I was running back out of the mountains at the end of the day and my 750 spirit died. I eventually found out that the fuel wasn't making it past the pump, so I rerouted the fuel to bypass the pump with the hoses that were there, and it ran fine. it ran fine for months, in fact, but now, it doesn't like to sustain 70mph for very long once I burn a gallon out of the tank. It's because there's not enough 'head' pressure. when you have that funnel way up like that, that more 'head', you understand what I mean?
