In today's episode of Vox Friendly pedals, we are looking at the Xotic Effects SL Drive with a Vox AC15c1. A lot of Vox owners look for a Marshall-in-a-box (MIAB) and the SL Drive comes up often as a "must have". I was curious to find out why, and let me tell you, I get why this pedal is so popular.
Like all my videos, we'll test the Xotic SL Drive with a Les Paul, Stratocaster, Les Paul jr and Telecaster. We'll explore the light, medium and heavy gain tones as well as compare the four modes from the inner dip switches: Super Lead (stock)/Super Lead high-mid cut/ Super Lead +6dB and the Super bass modes.
As always, everything is running clean into my Vox AC15c1, using a Shure SM57.
