The listening parties for Saviors were so fun, even though we didn't get the signed copies we pre-ordered due to overwhelming demand. Our region got 2500 copies and 7000 people ordered them, 😄. Still got a sweet indie exclusive hot pink and black vinyl that looks incredible. And the music is incredible. The bassist said effort doesn't always mean result, but that they put every effort into making their best record yet. I love it. 🎉

Green Day has always been a special band to me. Dookie was the first ever album I ever bought (I was 6 or 7 years old and my mom took me to the HMV and bought me the cassette). I remember watching the video for “when I come around” and their “live in Chicago” concert on Much Music and remember it blowing my mind as a kid and thought it was the coolest thing ever. My tastes changed throughout the year (started out liking Green Day, offspring, then 90s grunge and alternative then metal) but Green Day was always a constant and a band I never stopped listening to even though they’ve had up and down periods throughout their career and some albums I enjoy and some I didn’t care for. I’ve listened to the new album twice and am starting to really enjoy it. Kind of reminds me of their 90s output and seems like a return to form for the band. They also have Rob Cavallo as the producer. I’ve always felt he was like another member of the band because I feel he’s always brought the best out of the band and all the albums he has produced for them are all really good.

I just got this album and damn! This is a great album! Very different from their past albums as it has more of a punk sound but putting a fresh spin on it. Glad I gave this band another chance as I wasn't happy with Revolution Radio and The Father Of All. And I picked up some early albums of Green Day to listen to as well, Warning, Nimrod and Insomniac. Thanks again for the review, Brendon!

In my opinion, Saviors is Green Day's best album since 21st Century Breakdown, and is close to being a favourite album of mine since American Idiot and Dookie, and I think it has loads of great songs on it, and Dilemma is my favourite song on the album and I think it fits in nicely, and also I love Suzie Chapstick as well, it's one of my favourites and I think Father To A Son is a great song that feels like taking Wake Me Up When September Ends and Ordinary World and push it together into one song and it's fantastic. It's a great album and I am happy that Green Day made something great, and I love it. After the trilogy albums and Revolution Radio, they were kind of going hit and miss with certain songs from them, and Father Of All was a load of trash, however, but Saviors was a brilliant comeback and the best album in a long time.

Sounds good, Brendon. Green Day really is a band I shouldn't like (don't really go for that Punk pop genre), but for some reason I enjoy some of their albums and keep buying them. I'll definitely get this one in the near future. Love their BBC album! What are your thoughts on the Russell/ Guns release? I think it's really good and doesn't sound too much like a Frontiers product. It's got a sound of its own. Cheers.

I have fell in love with this album, sounds like a mix of all their eras, the songs sound amazing, Even the slow songs are perfect, my top songs are Strange days, 1981, living in the 20s, fancy sauce, Corvette summer, look ma no brains, and Dilemma was probably my favorite

Oh and your Cheap Trick shirt reminded me - some of the sounds on this record were influenced by Cheap Trick, along with Brit Pop. And while I know the album cover is a picture from The Troubles overseas, I can't make any connection either. I guess just a general 'the world has problems' kind of vibe.

i think its a solid B- (what i gave it on my video review).. i would have liked more songs like "`1981" an actually for it to be a little less produced sounding. i like the more energetic raw green day of the first two records. back on the LOOKOUT records days. But for a band that has put out 14 records, this is for sure better than most of their stuff.

I probably seen Green Day seven times in the 90s and 2000s. About 15 years ago I just stopped listening to them and the radio stations around here don't play the new stuff. Great video, thanks.

Have you heard much by Stiff Little Fingers? Original 70s punk band that sounded a little like greenday. I highly recommend “inflammable material” and “nobody’s heroes” if you like greenday you should love those albums

@BrendonSnyder the 1.1 loss is due to there being a few skips for me - Goodnight Adeline and Suzie Chapstick, though I still don't mind those songs. You just can't deny the songwriting ability of these guys. The kings of the game

Hi Brendon. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the live Dire Straits cd boxset . I have been putting off buying it as I already own Alchemy and On the night and am not sure if the 50 UK pounds justifies the extra content. I am very tempted as I love these two live albums and the extra tracks they have added certainly appeal. I would like to hear your thoughts on the Live At The Rainbow recordings once you have had a chance to listen to them. I am so on the fence about buying this set ! It would take a tiny push for me to press Buy Now !!! Thanks Brendon. Appreciate all the work you put into your channel.
