for a white person that lives with Maori in Australia , is it ok to greet the visitors with a maori greeting? like ( Kia ora ma koutou katoa) or is this over the top? thank you for your time and reply .

Tēnā koe Lenny. It's ok to speak māori. You would say "Kia ora koutou katoa". 🧔🏾👌🏾
