Oh man I just remember buying this cassette as soon as it came out and blasting it non-stop, just happen to listen to the album today, 8-01-2023, this was such an underrated and great band, it brings such great memories.

If aliens ever came to earth and asked what heavy metal was. We need to play them THIS song right here. It's metal perfection.

Watch Hostage from Heaven live from Dynamo Open 1995. It's epic. How Gus Chambers owns the stage together with Dave's hardcore drumming.

I remember when the mighty Dave Lombardo left Slayer, I was devastated (I used to play drums that time and Dave was my #1 inspiration) and as I saw that this album was released I grabbed one as quickly as I could - and wasn't disappointed :) After that in 1995 Grip Inc. played in my country together with Kreator - and they blew Kreator away live. It was insane!

Loved this band from day one. Had the chance to do interviews with Grip Inc. back in the days. But I can’t quite remember all the stuff, time flies. 😂 In Germany there is a metal audio drama called L.B. Steel, who just launched their first episode and Grip Inc. are mentioned. Fueled my love for this band again. 🔥 R.I.P. Gus!

I love that you dug it! 🤘 I used to piss my neighbors off (apartments) to this c.d. when it came out, blasting it thru a pair of 12 in. Cerwin's 😅 Got to see em in 97 (Nemesis tour) in a small club in Phoenix area (The Mason Jar) the blew the roof off the place!! I personally prefer the first 2 albums...the other 2 have a couple good tunes...I appreciate how they diverse their sound was, Slayer kinda stayed the same after a while... over it. Check out Fantomas!!! Mind blowing 🤯 (Patton, Lombardo, Osborne, Dunn) 4 albums as well 😁

Excellent band! I liked Grip inc way better than Slayer. I worked in a CD store when this came out and absolutely loved the entire album. My fave song is Heritec War Chant. Possibly the coolest drum song ever

I was talking to Dave oddly enough a long long time ago and he said he was having some trouble with double bass (when he was in Slayer) this is around the time when he did power grooves. I know, him having trouble with double bass sounds impossible lol... Anyway, he worked and worked on his chair height and I guess the guys in Slayer thought he was slipping off, I always thought this was a fuck you to that, because this is such tight drumming and techniqually perfect.
