This is why South Africa is well developed than Nigeria. Their citizens have this sense of service and hold dear their country at heart. 92% of SA resides in SA. They go back home after few years abroad. But you see Nigerians, they’re unpatriotic & would rather be slaves abroad than be a King in their country. Very unpatriotic people. Go serve your country.

I think moving back to Nigeria at an advanced age is very OK if you can afford a house in a posh estate in Lagos , Abuja , PH or any other city and enjoy all round good weather conditions . Occasionally, one can visit their kids living abroad or travel to other countries for vacation. Nigeria is a lovely country to be if you have your money to spend. Solar panels will ensure that you have light 24/7 .

If one can afford to live in a luxurious estate in Lagos , Abuja , PH , Enugu or any other big city in Naija at old age, that is arguably the best thing to do in order to enjoy all round good weather and natural foods . One can occasionally visit their kids overseas or take a vacation to beautiful places. Your retirement savings won’t be drained quickly due to relatively low cost of living when compared to living in Canada or US at old age. These posh estates like Harmony Estate PH , Lekki Phase 1, Shell co-operative Estate PH etc are top notch with all the facilities and serenity.

I came to New York in 1991 (33 years ago) and have only visited Nigeria about four times since then, the last time being 2014 (10 years ago). The idea of moving back to Nigeria never crossed my mind. In fact, I would rather stay in jail in America than to move back to Nigeria. I just sold my house in Lagos for N100 million last month and was only able to transfer $45,000 back to New York on a house that I spent over $300,000 to build in 2010. I wish I saved the money instead of losing it to building in Nigeria. I have already sold two and the remaining house in Lekki, Lagos is still in the market for sale. I plan to stay in Airbnb or hotel whenever I travel to Nigeria. I will retire next year and plan to stay in either South Africa or Switzerland. Nigeria is out of the question, because it cannot offer me the lifestyle I'm used to for the last 33 years.

@@abdulidi733 I have four houses in South Africa, in Sandton specifically. I have been visiting and staying in South Africa for three months every year since 2017. I'll be applying for retirement visa in Washington DC for permanent residency in South Africa. I'm not going there to stay illegally. Honestly speaking, if I were a South African, I would never allow the nonsense they allowed foreigners to do in South Africa. Even Nigeria would never tolerate the nonsense that South Africa tolerated from foreigners. Since I've been traveling to and staying in South Africa, I never interact with or make friends with foreigners. I only have South Africans as friends, because foreigners, especially Nigerians are just too fraudulent, deceptive, and nasty for my liking. The South Africans have been managing my rental apartments there since 2017 without a single problem. One time I decided to help an illegal Nigerian to earn some money with one of my apartments by using it for Airbnb, he started to use the apartment for scamming. I had to take the apartment from him and gave it to a South African to manage for me. Listen, there's nothing like Xenophobia in South Africa, because South Africans are just too welcoming and accommodating. The issue about South Africa made me learn one thing about media and social media: sensationalism and bias in reporting is a dangerous weapon of the mind. When you hear these news about South Africa, it will make you not want to visit the country. But when you're in the country, you'll wait till eternity to experience the Xenophobia and then begin to question your mind. The Operation Dudula you're referring to occur in townships where you'll never even live in. You don't expect me to leave America and go and live in Ajegunle or Mile 12 in Nigeria. The same thing is what happens in South Africa. I purchased my houses in Sandton, the most expensive per square kilometer in Africa. There's nothing like Xenophobia in those places. Even when I go to townships for sightseeing, I never experience any bad behaviors from South Africans living there. They are very friendly and accommodating of foreigners, and that's the mistake they made. The criminal behaviors of foreigners there is just too much, and I hope that South Africa can drive all of them away so that they can have peace of mind in their own country. Foreigners have taken over their country. For example, some neighborhoods in Johannesburg and Pretoria have been taken over by Nigerians to the extent that South Africans had to leave the area for Nigerians. Of course, you and I can't live in those places.

Those are great questions! A. True, it is heartbreaking to see what is happening to families and marriages these days, and that is what made me do a video on marriage where I share my thoughts about what Ii think is causing this and what we can do about it, largely from my own experience. Please watch the video - '18 years of marriage over! Here's the truth about marriage in Canada', on this channel. Let me know what you think after you watch it 🙂 . B. It is definitely more dicy, the older you are, especially if in your 50s. I know some people that age who are business owners in Nigeria and are coming over to give their children the opportunity to school here as permanent residents. You need to weigh the options before you, do your research, and make a decision based on the facts and figures you have. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
