Sorry about the loud background music everyone 😅 I can't change it on this video, but I'll keep it in mind for the next ones! it sounded fine on my headphones during editing...

26.5 is plenty for lower than drop B. People have been using 24.75 for drop B for decades now...

My bad, I think the audio wasn't clear / music was too loud. If this is for the 8 strings, I was saying drop E

Hey Karz, Solar guitars has some interesting stuff you talked about with a better price (stainless steel frets, evertune, 7 string, fishman fluence pups, different shapes etc). I paid 1.049USD on a V1.7 Vinter on sale last year. And yeah, no one likes EMG anymore or so it seems.

Love Solar! I've actually got an A1.7 Vinter - good taste my dude :P Solar are putting out new guitars weekly, and they're a fair bit smaller than the brands here. Didn't think that adding them to the video would do much in identifying trends, since Ola makes whatever he wants hahaha. But definitely a good brand to look into, QC sounds better these days and some great value for sure!

@@KarzGuitar Good taste ;) Yeah, QC is overall better these days, I had an issue with a loose tone knob but that's it. I wish Solar had some new guitars with slimmer necks because those can get chunky. Loved the video btw. Cheers from Brazil.

this is great stuff but the note on ESP/LTD pricing has a LOT to do with the Evertune models they are dropping all over the place. On average the ET will pump a price up at least 500$ and it shows. Worth every penny!

I wish this were the case man, I love my evertunes too! So good. But unfortunately, this year's releases only had 4 evertunes out of there ~28 guitars :( so thats not what's driving up their average price, at least for the 2024 range.

Schecter actually started as a pivkup/parts brand before they made guitars, so they got a good history making pickups!

ibanez guitars have been shooting up in price for 10 years. Every year in May they have a price "correction" and its always a massive increase. Its why you cant get an Andy Timmons AT-100 for 200,000 yen anymore, you have to pay near 300,000.

13:52 The cheapest stainless steel fret guitars are not LTD Gary Holt There's models from Harley Benton that costs less with SS frets There's also a brand called RJ Guitars that sells $99 guitars with SS frets which I guess is the absolute cheapest

Obviously haha, this is about what the big brands are releasing this year. Harley Benton and other brands exist too - id also recommend a smaller budget brand called Artist. They're amazing.

does the gary holt sig not have emgs? he has a signature set of red ones, which would make his sig the cheapest emgs youre gonna get
@KarzGuitar
3 ай бұрын
Ah, so there's a distinction here - the Gary Holt sig has EMGs and is roughly 2k USD. The GH SV200 is an affordable version which retains the stainless steel frets, but opts for ESP stock pickups instead of emgs.

I don't know how people play on hard tail electric guitar without it constantly going out of tune. Maybe I'm too aggressive, don't have that problem on acoustic or classical guitars! 🤔
@Mr.Goldbar

yup! I'm honestly way more tuning anxious on my few hardtail guitars than I do on all of my floating trem guitars. People are usually the opposite for some reason... Even on my non locking trems tuning is a breeze since you can use the characteristic of strings detuning while tuning the other string to your advantage. I only have to either raise the flats or lower the sharps and the guitar is in tune! since it's all tension based :D

The trend is: utterly uninspiring and insanely overpriced imports. Pretty sad, I'm sticking with vintage MIJ stuff.
