So basically it's a fine line you have to walk to keep from being a jobless bum and a workaholic in order to have a good relationship. Orpheus needs to get at least a part time and help with the chores, and Hades needs a more benign hobby or activity that he can include Persephone in, or maybe they could at least take a trip somewhere nicer. Its a nice idea, but at this point I highly doubt that therapy could do anything for Hera and Zeus.
@chichi77tim
4 жыл бұрын
@@cadencurtis6784 Just think about the fact that any child born, from both Zeus and Hera, were the pure chaotic evil (ex.: Ares, Eris...). They simply aren't a good match, since Zeus It's infidel and selfish and Hera is vindictive, profoundly jealous and snob. Other deities have at least some hope, and Hades and Persephones have maybe the best marriage between them all.
@kagenohikari8

In the Broadway, it's more of a mix of Hades' workaholic attitude and possessiveness. Persephone leaves the underworld to go up above for supposedly 6 months but Hades keep on bringing her back to the underworld before those 6 months end. So Persephone spends less and less time above and more and more time below (which added to her growing resentment to Hades). Hades built the factory because, in part, he thought this would keep Persephone down there with him.

you guys need to understand, persephone went away for long times to the mortal realm, hades just wanted her to stay, so he tried recreating artificial sunlight, heat, and more so it would be more like what she was used to, he just wanted her to stay with him
@flaminyawn
4 жыл бұрын
This is true, but it's also true that Persephone fairly clearly laid out what was wrong with this attempt to give her what she craves artificially, and his response is to woo a hungry and vulnerable younger woman to make (himself feel better / his wife jealous).

Eurydice sounded more angry here than Eva's version
@michaelranft4048

That's because I'm this version she's more focused on surviving the winter than being with orpheus , but Eva show that there's actual turmoil and she does want to stay with orpheus

Blank-eyed people at the beginning remind of zombies. Kind of perfect for the land of the dead... even if it isn't exactly that in this adaptation
@TheAmityElf

The movement and expressions are perfectly-timed. I loved that Orpheus hugged Eurydice when she was worrying. I loved how creepy Hades was in his second verse with Persephone (especially the light in his eyes while Persephone glared down at the...glare). Even just the character designs themselves and the backgrounds and imagery in general were so pretty and perfectly-suited. Also, please do other songs on the soundtrack. I almost don't care which ones; just do more Hadestown please. You're so good.

This is my favorite song from this musical at the moment. It perfectly sums up the central conflicts. THIS WAS SO GOOD, especially considering it's your first attempt! The ending was chilling with the eyes, but you especially did well with Persephone and Eurydice's facial expressions :) Nice work! EDIT: I almost forgot those AMAZING transitions and I am ashamed at that. They were GORGEOUS and SO WELL THOUGHT OUT!
