Hal Ketchum is one of the greatest country singers to come out of Music City. The album "Past the Point of Rescue" is really really underrated but most importantly really really good.

A tremendous song from a tremendous talent. And, literally, I do miss my Mary-my first infatuation-over 50 years ago. Miss you Hal...and I miss you, Mary

I've always loved this song, ever since I was a teen and first became a fan of Hal.

I could sit and listen to Hal sing for hours on end. The song I miss my Mary is so from the heart, may be the most honest song I can recall ever hearing. You can just feel every emotion. What a miss understated and underated talent. Hal Ketchum, you are the best!!!!!

I was 20 in the Navy. When this came out. I always thought of it as a beautiful song. But never experienced much of the lyrics . 30 years later. They are unfortunately understood.

I saw Hal in The Woodlands, Tx, he told the story of going into a bar started talking with a patron. This is the story he came away with and turned it into I Miss My Mary. He said this guy also saved him from getting a pool stick over his head. :) Two guys were playing pool and they left the table with the game half played. He went over and cleared the table to start a new game. The men came back and weren't happy. The "I Miss My Mary" guy stepped in and saved him.
