I love you Courtney! And appreciate your honesty and realness. I’m on day 3 of a 4 day sardine fast. Listening to your Sardine Fast challenge has helped me a lot as I’m an emotional eater and needed a big time reset; feeling awesome and energetic. Also, you are so beautiful; please don’t listen to negative people. Mary b ❤

My husband and i just did a half on Saturday! It was my fourth. I think you'll enjoy it if the course is somewhere pretty. I'm not at all fast. I have to do running/ walking intervals because of some heart issues, but running (if one could even call what I do that) brings me joy, and that's reason enough to do it. Good luck to you! Enjoy the journey! ❤

Thanks for the update. Was curious how you are doing. 💪🏃🏻enjoy the running. A months ago Chaffee had a really good video with Anthony Phaesse ( my spelling is off ) It’s 1 hr & 20 min but really good about hormones and benefits if really heavy weight - so really low reps. This guy was very informative. Anyways - enjoy the runs !

That interview is the reason I don’t run but sprint. I was thinking about it due to Dr Omara but because Anthony is a PT and his whole emphasis is on hormones, he confirmed it for me. I’m perimenopausal and frankly rather get the exercise portion of my healthy living, out of the way. That means enjoying the exercise I do because that in turn helps my mental health. HIIT is the way to go, in my opinion. Maximum effort in minimal time. It’s very efficient, perfect for someone with no time to/for exercise. I did a 14k ‘fun run’ - yes it’s an oxymoron - back in school and have never wanted to do one again! To me it’s very simple. If we enjoy the exercise we do, we’ll continue doing it.

I don't understand why you have to change your mindset around running. Not every body is meant for long distance running. Im all for trying it but if you hate it try something else. maybe, sprinting. Where you run in short bursts. I think running with a larger bosom is not so fun. I used to run all the time when I was an A cup but then i got breast implants and then running with boobs is harder. Over time i developed chronic fatigue from the implants and now I barely have the energy to go for a walk.

Every time you allow a trigger food to enter your mouth, you are teaching your brain that consuming that food is acceptable. The brain gets used very fast to do what we teach it. So the most important thing is not to allow the trigger food in the first place. With time and repetition you will be able to avoid the binge episodes of those foods, your brain will forget. And for weight lost, I highly recommend you walking. Ive lost 35 pounds in 4 months combining carnivore, intermitent fasting and walking between 10 and 20 thousands steps per day fasted (early in the morning the majority and thorough the day the rest). I wish you all the best, you are a beautiful person

The princess half marathon at Disney in Florida is a lot of fun. It was the first half marathon I ever ran. You actually run through the Magic Kingdom and everything. It usually takes place sometime in February

You can do it!!!!the first time I ran a 1/2 a seasoned runner friend of mine encouraged me to train for endurance over distance... so ultimately get to a place that you can run at a sustained pace (11-12min miles) for 2 hours the last couple of long runs before your race (that helped me not get wrapped up on how far I was or wasn't able to do on my running days) - 3 - 30/40min runs a week and an increasing longer run on the weekend.I know you will follow a plan but it was helpful to keep this on the back burner. I don't love to run either but setting goals and getting there is good for the soul.

I really appreciate your sharing because I’m in a similar spot (except you’re way smaller than me). I suggestion you interval run the 5k/half marathon. It doesn’t have to be all running or all walking. I’ve run dozens of 1/2 marathons and burnt my adrenals out. Now I walk them. But it’s not super challenging. I could walk a full marathon. Interval would get your heart up and get the challenge but hopefully without some of the hormone burn out.

@Jennieadams1979thank you for the response. I’ve tried that too (maybe 6 months) scales keep climbing and it’s depressing. I increased calories to 2200-2400 for at least 6 months. Gained 30lbs since last July. 😢 only think I have not done lately is have lab work. That’s next on my list. Insulin levels were 4 last fall.

@Jennieadams1979tired lol but I work a lot so attributing it to that. I have been low carb for 13 years. Lost 120lbs doing “keto” not tracking until I went carnivore to try and lose my final 10lbs. Boy was that a mistake. I’m up and keep gaining. Cut out coffee, dairy, you name it. So yeah I need labs done. I’m trying to tweak macros 1-2 weeks at a time to narrow it down but so far no luck.
