1. Hook - distal, medial portion of the palmar surface, convex portion medial and the concave portion lateral, tip provides attachment for transverse carpal ligament, transverse groove for the deep branch of the ulnar nerve, opponens digit minimi and flexor digiti minimi, flexor carpi ulnaris, pisohamate ligament
2. dorsal and palmar surfaces - non articular, nutrient foramina
3. body - triangular, apex proximolaterally, articular strip for the lunate
4. lateral surface - capitate, capitohamate interosseous ligament
5. medial surface - triquetrum, TqH 1 and TqH 2. A TqH 1 (helicoidal configuration, with a double facet), TqH 2 (oval convex shape, no hamate groove or distal ridge)
6. distal surface - 2 facets, fourth and fifth metacarpals
7. vascularity - dorsal intercarpal arch, ulnar recurrent artery, and ulnar artery
