I have my gilder stored in a barn. It is suspended from the ceiling so I drive under it and lower it onto the car roof with a pulley. The glider is inside a plastic tube as well, which keeps the mice out and the rain off while driving. It slides easily out of the tube at the destination. Back at home, I hook the pulley on and crank it back up to the ceiling.

I made my hang glider carrier from two light weight sack trolley frames (they are called a box trolley in Australia) assembled them in a V configuration with one set of wheels removed. Only needed 4 small bolts and a set of padded straps on top of the handle frames to sit the glider on. Move the glider alongside the car, undo one strap and push that end of the V frame flat on the ground it then levers the other end of the HG up. This technique stands it higher than a green bin. Quite good ergonomic lift as the glider CG never gets much lower than chest high for loading or unloading. Easy on the back.

Sounds interesting, any pictures? Would be a good way to store the glider in my garage too maybe???

@@PlaneDelta It does make a good storage trolley for the garage. The only issue I experienced was the high centre of gravity over uneven ground requires caution to stop it tipping over. I have used this trolley to move the glider 1 and 1/2 kilometres along a coastal foot path to a flying site. I also have one of the golf club type trolley Glider movers like yours.

I just purchased a used Northwing horizon with a nano trike. I'm traveling 8 1/2 hours one way for training (hopefully). Where did you get the hood mount support? I need one.

I got mine many years ago from Simon Murphy www.turfhouse.com they are called glider riders. Most people make their own out of glass or tile suction cup holders these days.
