Hey, Jeremy. Great to see you again! Happy New Year! Nice to hear your 2023 goals for your racing and for the channel! Your videos are great and we miss them when they're not there. But, life is busy for sure. Shorter videos are good!! Im getting back into running again. I have done 7 marathons, not since 2015. Im 55 yrs old, got out of shape during the pandemic. Running again, took off 20 lbs since Oct and building up the distance. Marathon days may be behind me, but maybe a Half is in my future. Need to start hitting the weights too, don't want to be 'skinny fat'! Good luck in the Miami Half Marathon! Even if not your best race, you'll feel better just being out there! All the best! Dan

Dan my man! So glad to hear from ya - Happy New Year as well!! Thanks for the kind words and I appreciate your support as always. So glad to hear you're back into running and wow - 20lbs off! That's super impressive, good for you 💪🏽 I'm trying to build up my miles and need to hit the weights as well, so it looks like we're kind of in the same boat haha. Cheers to 2023 - wishing you the best in your goals this year! 🎉

Great to see you back Jeremy. Good luck with the upcoming Miami half marathon. I can't wait to see what you have for us in 2023. Dumb question, why not video tape the podcast, and make a slightly edited version available on KZitem as well?

Thanks so much, Sage! That's a great question, and a video podcast is definitely the move - I do plan to chop up some of the clips for YT! 🙌🏽💯

I am so glad I found your channel. I’m about to binge all videos. So when you see a bunch of likes in the next few days that’s me. So, I’m 53 I ran a couple 5k 8k like 6 years ago. Fast forward and I’m ready to roll. I want to do a sprint tri or super sprint to start. My issue is what bike to buy 😢. I’m like scared. I’m not trying to spend more than 200. I don’t know how many of these I’ll do but at least 2-3. I don’t really want to buy used. Any suggestions? Good luck this year on your channel.

Hi there, so glad you found my channel, and thanks for the kind words!! Congrats on taking on the challenge of doing a triathlon - you can totally do it 🙌🏽 Bike buying is definitely intimidating. For $200, you might be able to find an entry level commuter/road bike off Amazon - but beware, it will have cheap components and won't be the best quality. If you go this route, I'd recommend going to a local bike shop, getting it tuned up, and testing it thoroughly, of course. Your local bike shop might have some new bikes on sale too. If you can, I'd recommend increasing your budget, as it will open the door to more quality bike options. From the Home page of my channel, check out the "Beginner Triathlon Bike Tips" playlist - I have a couple videos there that can aid you in 1) making a decision on whether to buy a bike or not, and 2) finding ways to save money when looking for a bike. Cheers!

@@JeremyTri Thank you for your reply! So, I’m probably going to go up a hundred on my budget. I just need to learn about aluminum steel and everything else. I’ll be checking out your videos this weekend. I’m really excited about doing this tri so I want a descent bike. Thanks again! Good luck on your race!
