Im glad you had a great helper. I had to do it by myself. I have had mine for three and a half years and worked it to death. No regrets as its paid for itself so many times. You might want to weld a chain hook on the front of the bucket for lifting and pulling. I did that first thing. Over time any wear and tear repairs you can do yourself. Mine is still going strong. Thanks for sharing.

@@thetwistedsisterme All I can tell you is what mine does. I'm in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains and have nothing but hard clay and rock. My HF trencher digs great!! If you'll go to my channel I have several videos showing how it digs. I'll be posting one soon showing it digging my new farm pond in heavy, wet clay and rock.

It'd be nice to see this thing after about, oh, 50 maybe 100 hrs of use to see how it's holding up. Good job on the video, and it's nice to have a good help mate around, mine died 5 yrs ago and I sure miss her helping me with things like this.

I just ordered mine. I got 5 acres that need to be worked. I have had to rent a Kubota U35 twice to get a lot of the heavy land moving out of the way, I wish I knew about this trencher earlier. Thanks for the helpful tips, I'm sure I will need to re-watch your vid once mine is delivered.

I made washers that keep hydraulic cylinders from shucking back and forth, almost converted it into an actual self propelled excavator using stone quarry belts for tracks, big motor spins two hydraulic pumps with two stage hydraulic motors to run each track

I got mine last week after two weeks of waiting for it, I live in a big cul-de-sac center house, so no blocking the street with a big truck. I have gotten large items and my side walk is a step up from the curb just perfect for the bed opening. The driver didn't want to back in the circle he wanted to put it off on the street I had spent the time waiting for it to come putting up a H F carport garage tent to build it in. I ended up having to give him 25 dollars to back it to my sidewalk there I had a motor puller and winch ready, I hooked the puller and winch up yelled tp my son to start the winch, in less then 30 seconds it was in the middle of the tent. It is doing the job I bought it to do, a good buy.

I'd order one in a heartbeat but I can't handle the delivery. No tractor trailers can get to my address and they tell me a single axle is out of the question. I'm going to see if I can have it loaded on a trailer at the trucking terminal. Thanks for sharing!

Where are the grease fittings. Would they not deliver to the HF store and u pick it up there? GREAT info video. The only thing that makes me nervous is the lack of the grease fittings on the pins. Ive seen plenty of equipment with fitting that have been neglected with lots of slack.

Wondering if you know. I'm almost done putting mine together and the cap for the hydraulic tank only screws halfway down. There is a rubber gasket further up under the top of the cap, but it seems like inside the tank, it goes down in size, so the cap won't screw all the way down. Did you experience this?
@jerzyucinski8009
3 жыл бұрын
Just got mine a week ago and only problem was the same cap for the tank.
@jackman6256

Just put a couple on it after you get the Hydraulic fluid top off that way it won't. Over flow an tank won't get air in it Thats how I solved that plus fluid won't Run out when you get it on incline
@danilesambrano4000

IF you were able to tighten it all the way down you would cover the air hole in the top of the screw.

The pin that goes up and down is junk. Too much slop and it makes boom jump all over hell, I machined out one that fit perfectly and put grease zerts in it with my homemade big lathe

well it had it a good while now and it’s done some amazing things, it’s slowness can be helped by idling it all the way up I’ve found. it’s very good on gas too I can now say. it’s something I’m real glad I got now.
