1. Free will reveals God's love and desires
who wants all people to be saved and to come to know the truth. - 1 Timothy 2:4
The Lord is not delaying his promise, in the way that some think of delay, but he is very patient towards you. He does not want anyone to be destroyed. Rather, he wants everyone to arrive at repentance. - 2nd Peter 3:9
But in respect of Israel he says, All day long I have stretched out my hands to a disbelieving and disagreeable people. - Romans 10:21
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. - Ephesians 4:30

2. Free will encourages the power of prayer
Then he said to me, “Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia. - Daniel 10:12-13
In those days Hezekiah was stricken with a terminal illness. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz visited him and told him, “This is what the Lord has said, ‘Give your household instructions, for you are about to die; you will not get well.’” He turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, “Please, Lord. Remember how I have served you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion, and how I have carried out your will.” Then Hezekiah wept bitterly. - 2 Kings 20:1-3

3. Free will better rationalizes the problem of evil
This is the message which we have heard from him, and announce to you: God is light, and there is no darkness at all in him. - 1 John 1:5

4. Free will challenges humans to embrace responsibility for their actions
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone wants to come after me, they must give themselves up, and pick up their cross, and follow me. Yes: if someone wants to save their life, they must lose it; and if anyone loses their life for my sake they will find it. - Matthew 16:24-25
