You say the key is to have patience but you also need time. Anybody would do better with more time and I'm glad you have it to help take care of your mother.

I think you’re doing a fantastic job with caring for your Mom and holding a full time job. When my Dad got sick with dementia my Mom took care of him at home for the last 10 years of his life. We siblings all rotated our time to help our Mom. Dad died at home surrounded by family. Being a caregiver is one of the hardest things you will have to do. It’s overwhelming and you do have to have a lot of patience. God Bless you ♥️.

I know it's difficult, yes patience helps alot and not rushing them , kind of let them figure it out and or willing to allow you to help. You being a nurse you know all that and you do such beautiful job with her. I imagine you really must be tired and wore out sometimes between work and helping with your mom. You and your family are pretty amazing to me . God Bless you ,Cindy and the rest of your family

I’ve been my husbands sole caretaker for years. For the past two years he has needed my help in everything including personal hygiene, toilet etc. I have no one to help me. I feel like my patience is gone. He doesn’t know what to do on the toilet anymore so I feel like I spend hours on toilet problems a day. He doesn’t understand instructions. Instead of spitting toothpaste out he swallows it. Everything has turned backwards in his head. I’m sure I could also make videos of couple of minutes where everything looks rosy, but honestly it is so hard to take of someone with dementia that I wonder if there is anyone who hasn’t lost it at times. Just being honest.

Yes, caregivers suffer from stress and loosing their patience. It is nothing to feel guilty about. There are respite care options for care givers. These breaks can be for a few hours or even an overnight. Reach out to your local senior care home, they should be able to direct you. Also speak with his doctor. Never be ashamed of needing time for you. Your care for your loved one is amazing. It's hard and can seem never ending. Reach out, join a care givers group. Hire a sitter for a couple of hours and go to lunch, go shopping, go for a walk. Your loved one needs you to whole.

There are grants in every state for people to apply too. Try to surf the web for grants and for places with free respite care for weekends so you can get away. I know its exhausting and yes its not everyday roses. Some have more patience than others. This ia why i just love watching Kiley help her mom. Kiley is a pure example of an angel on earth. Her mother unfortunately will not understand that until they meet in heaven one fine day!!

A lot of people don't know, but Germany has a medicine that slows it down. I know my grandmother had the medicine in the 80s, but it was against the law for it to be here. My great aunt took her to Germany. And they snooked the medicine back here, but it was only a little bit but it did help her so much. Maybe you can check into that now this is two thousand

You know when we think of all the patients they had with us when we were growing up it just seems natural to return that patience as I said I lost both parents in 14 months 66 and 68 years old and I would have given anything and everything to keep on caring for them patience yes but at their wake I used their wedding band to say that's what life is a circle a family is a circle without any breaks just like my mom's wedding band that was worn worn out it had lines that were made smooth and but there wasn't a crack that wasn't a dent and that was a family and the roles reversed and we were the caretakers and we had to return the love compassion and patience that they show to us especially me I was the girl that I was definitely the wild child that my mom said gave her most of her grades and she didn't have many but I think that was genetic so that's the forever circle of family that wedding band that's how I looked at it

Sorry Kylie's I've written so many papers and dissertations in my career 41 years as a registered nurse that I do not use grammar I do not do anything on the human dangling participle and I talk text and the words come out wrong but I love all your videos I miss my mom and my dad so much they were total opposites she loved the Opera and the ballet and reading and he was a hunter and a fishing guy but they made it work for 43 years and they had such dramatic respect for each other she was sick a lot when I was growing up and they were best friends a lot of years then they were best friends and lovers and friends but they both showed such respect throughout their relationship

When I first saw these videos I felt the same way but the truth is what this daughter does for her mom will inspire others to care for the mother they love. Actually she inspires me and you can tell how much she loves her mom ❤ It cannot be easy to watch your mom go through the stages and her mom is blessed to have her caring feeding bathing and talking to her all the time and making her laugh. Her mom is lucky to be home with the family who loves her and cares for her

There is absolutely no excuse in the world to film your Mum when she is at her weakest. It should be illegal. This girl does an excellent job looking after her mum
@annemariemcgowan9273
Ай бұрын
This doesn't make filming right. It's all about you wanting the world to give you credit. You will regret this when your Mum passes away. Care is excellent and you are extending your mum's life keeping her at home with those she loves but it's as if you want credit for what should come naturally. Passively complaining that you are working night shift on your birthday. We all have to work on our birthday. This isn't about you it's about your Mum. I hope they make filming illegal.

She is a trained nurse. She probably makes these videos to 1. Educate people about the disease 2. Provide guidance for other caretakers (as an RN she has medical knowledge that others probably don’t have)
@annemariemcgowan9273

@@heyitsmufasa6018 She should know that the first thing about care is Dignity and respect. Dementia is more common now and there is great guidance out there for carers. Filming should be illegal. This poor woman doesn't know this is being streamed all over the world and she has not agreed to this. You can try to justify this but it is shameful.
