People saying he's in his 50s with a 20 something yr old build. Yeah, that's impressive, but NOT NEARLY as impressive as how fast he's moving for a man in his mid 50s. He is a big man with reflexes and speed of a much, much, much lighter man, like a light weight MMA fighter in his 20s. THat's what has me impressed. I've seen many dudes in their 50s shredded like they are in their 20s, but I've never seen a dude in his 50s at that size still able to move that fast. Incredible!

@@Disc0spider Craig, brown belt is one beneath black....well done, I had a discussion today at work, regarding judo....when you get your black belt, maybe like look into Muay Thai, the old Muay Thai think it's called Muay boron, or military Muay Thai.. Judo is a lethal sport, I just said today...if a judo player gets hold of you in the street: your done! Another + of judo is the fitness and strength a player acquires, a good player can walk through alot of hard shots and keep going forward, get that black,, good luck from Ireland bud....
@Disc0spider
2 жыл бұрын
@@goalltheway-pm8xs Thank you! I appreciate that. :) I would love to learn a striking art. Unfortunately, many striking clubs where I live (boxing, muay thai, kick boxing, MMA) are incredibly expensive, and often train on days when I do judo. For me, I am a qualified coach at my judo club, helping our head coach with coaching, so my judo is a mixture of coaching others and training. I think judo is a good sport. I believe it teaches resilience, both in physical and mental application. It helps to improve our physical fitness, and can open other avenues and interests of fitness, and martial arts in general. It can also teach us to respect and honour others. After all, if we get thrown to the mat during randori or shiai competition, all we can do is pick ourselves back up, and bow to our opponent. One thing that I do not like about judo, is when judo clubs claim to teach self defence. Yes, judo has the potential to be used as a self defence, but if a judo club promotes self defence as a selling point, then they should be teaching judo in self defence application. Honestly, most judo clubs teach judo as a sport, with rules. There's nothing wrong with that, but it can be an issue when a judo club claims you'll learn self defence, but they'll only teach you a sport. I hope this makes sense. In saying that, the skill of ukemi (break falling) is truthfully, an incredible, practical skill, that can be used in real life. Thank you again for your kind words. I hope to get that shodan this year! :)
