I want one for my 66 coupe that would take years off my restoration

Yes you do need to pull your old headliner out, that is how we gained the extra headroom. We put in a layer of FAT MAT insulation in the roof, then install a 1/2 layer of carpet padding glued to the FAT MAT, It's as quite as a church mouse then.

We offer the headliners with or without a built in consoles, they look just like what was used in the 68 California special.

It will still give you a extra 2 1/2 inches of headroom, we did the same thing plus we moved the seat pans back a couple of inches.

We are running a special on our redesigned coupe headliner, we can now ship it by UPS or Fed-X, before it had to go truck freight. From now until the end of March 2013, we will offer FREE freight.

A fastback will go in a little faster just because it is shorter, but both are very simple to do.The difference between the two are, the one comes with a molded in headliner. A common question is can I use my existing console, no you can't. We made the headliner to follow the curve of the roof, and a factory console is straight.

We have the 65-66 headliners in stock with the consoles.

Man, I LOVE this! I was dreading the day of having to remove my windshields to install a new headliner...but this product solves all my problems. I have a couple of questions before I buy one. Can I add insulation like Dynamat to this piece? And by adding insulation, I mean gluing the insulation itself to this piece? And can I place this product directly over my existing headliner? I don't want to remove mine, it's in nice shape...but would love to add insulation if I can. Thanks!!!!

Looks like an awesome piece that is well overdue! I am waiting for your 65-66 FB edition with console. One question, will sound deadning/insulation such as QuietRide roof panels fit behind your headliner?? Thx.

Oh, DUH, I just went to your site, OK, I know what the console is now, lol. I have a 64 1/2 Mustang, it didn't come with an overhead console. However now that I know what you meant. Can I install the console model into my 64, and modify it to have lights? Now that would absolutely rule, lol. But, if not, I still dig the one without a console as well, but both models are great. What a great product, I'm definitely going to get ready to order one.

Excuse me if I sound ignorant, but I'm still a little confused. What do you mean by console? When you say console, it directs me to the hump hugger console, and since that part is on the floor, well, my head is spinning. Can I just get the standard headliner? Would that fit my needs? Or do I have to modify it to fit my roof interior? Sorry for all these nagging questions, but it shows I'm serious about getting one, but I need all the answers to my questions first. Thanks for being so helpful.

BTW, I already had my seat floor panels lowered last year...I have plenty of headroom and leg room already. Will this product make the headroom too extreme? Overkill?

Black only, but you can dye them.

One more thing... I have a coupe. Is it harder or easier to install than a fastback? And... What's the difference between Standard Headliner and Console Headliner? Thanks again!

Oh, kinda of a shame to take down my headliner, it's in great shape, but it doesn't have insulation, and it vibrates too much, and get's really hot. What's the best way to remove an existing headliner? Just rip it Hulk style?
