E5, without doubt. thanks, as always, for figuring out the songs I'm too lazy to figure out or have long forgotten. I have been having a blast playing the Faces "I'm losing you" this last week. I wouldn't even have thought of that tune if you hadn't put it up here. enjoy the day.

You could vote on one of four songs for them to play live. They played this in Houston a couple summers ago (instead of Rocks Off!) The electorate failed that night. We needed a benevolent music dictator.

James there’s a dude doing this on KZitem in open G it looks easy and sounds great. Typically on many Stones songs one guitar would be standard tuning and one open tuning.

I always loved that song ...one of my stones favs...there is some kinda vibe on that song that’s time transporting...I picture the steam comin out of the sewer caps in f’up 70’s NYC ...n that slowed down guitar solo/ interlude creates more drama...the cops got seriously mad at the stones for this number which creates a tension yknow...my question is can Keith claim any writing in this song or is it all mick n mick?

I love Ronnie’s solo in the 75 live version... I prefer it than Mick’s...
@jamesjames9275
3 жыл бұрын
I've always thought Ronnie's playing on the '75 tour was a little tentative. He only had a few rehearsals with the band before that tour, so he was faking his way through the set. He did just fine, but he was much better on the '78 tour when he was playing the Some Girls material that he'd recorded with the band. Still, his playing in the Stones has never matched his Faces playing. He had to throttle back a little bit to mesh with Keith.

@@jamesjames9275 Although I love Ronnie's playing on pretty much everything . Especially his solo albums . I think the drugs and alcohol abuse and touring took a bit of a toll on his playing . Might be part of the reason he wasn't as sharp as the Faces days . He was still phenomenal though. In my opinion.
