As newly Hearthstone owners, my husband and I found your instruction in this video incredibly helpful. If you would be so inclined, we'd be very grateful to see a video showing the deep clean and removal of parts! :) Thank you for considering!

Love my hearthstone stove. I’ve had it for 11 years now and going strong. Thanks for the video I’ll be cleaning it soon.

Thank you for the video. It was really helpful. We've had our Hearthstone for ten years and we love it. I actually hate our ash pan though. It's open in the back (maybe they've changed this since then) so when I pulled it out ash would fall out the back. The grate that opens to let the ash fall through has warped pretty badly on ours so we took it out and laid fireplace tile down on the bottom. We just use a fireplace shovel to remove the ash as needed and for us it's a much less messy process than using the ash tray was. I would also love to see a video on how to do a deep clean with the removal of parts. Thank you!

After this burning season I’ll probably make a video of doing that. Someone else also wanted to see that.

Does this stove really heat your house to 70plus degrees? Seems like it takes for ever to warm up. Also do u have return tubes plus the catalyst.

Yea secondary burn tubes and a cat. This stone is in a four season room with glass sliding door all the way around and we can heat room up to almost 90 if you wanted to. It does take a little bit to warm up but that’s the purpose of this stove. Soapstone takes longer to heat up but holds that heat all night.

How did you get to the catalyst? Did you remove the baffle above those tubes? You show vacuuming them but not how to get to them. thanks,

In this video I just used the small hose until I want to do an actual cleaning of them. I posted a video couple days ago on how to open it up more to expose the cat better. But yes you are correct removing one secondary air tube then you can remove the baffle

How offer does the catalyst get plugged up. And how do I know it’s in usable ? Do I need to clean this all the time of only once a season ?

Getting plugged up depends on your wood. So that’s a hard question to answer because it all depends on the operator. Probably only clean it from front like I didn’t maybe a couple times during the burning season but that while using good dry wood.

I'm thinking about getting this stove but sheesh, at the price they charge for it the ash pan should be included. Otherwise it's a $400 option!
