God bless this safety first, trucker who speaks his mind. The entertainment in the comments is just as fun as he speaks about gorilla glue and magnets to hold the load. Thanks always for providing trucking 'CLASSES' for all who listen carefully. Next video will tell about the HOLLYWOOD movie Mr. Sergei will be starring in....Titled: Smart Ass Rolling!! hahaha. Thanks for the productions sir.

speaking about the air in the fuel ... I checked the filters on the breather tubes hooked up at the top of each tank. they were allegedly replaced a couple of months ago by Cambridge Mack (Vision) at my request. Took off the filter on the driver's side and blew in one end - almost no air was coming out! knocked the filter a.few times against the side of the tank and the air flow resumed... I think Mack didn't change this filter. the one on the passenger side tank was okay - straight air flow thru and thru. this blocked filter could have caused vacuum in the left tank, which - after the engine was shut off - could have caused air in a partially filled tank to be pushed inside the fuel system overnight.

Bingo! I had the right diagnosis on the first try. I hope that resolves the issue for you..
@HHTV60

I hope so too. looks like this plugged in filter on the driver side could have caused all kinds of issues with fuel supply. as they say, when you have a problem, look for the simplest solution first! ;)

Pilots/escorts are required when you're much wider, and/or longer and/or taller. Last time I had a pilot, I was 13'6" wide. Driving past mail boxes was fun!

Serge, how do i contact you to give you info on dropping and raising trailer axles?
@lenscap8925

Sergei- make yourself a portable centering stick for loading. Just a piece of 8 foot pvc, cut in half and dry coupled together. Center on the rear of the trailer with a bungee or even tape. Find middle of load and use your sticky note solution-center up and drive on...

No, I think I"ll get a portable propane welder. It takes much less space. When I have a machine like this again, I'll climb on the hood and cut a 1/2" deep straight line in the middle. Eazy peazzy ...

Have you looked in to the FASS fuel system? It is an auxiliary fuel pump that also removes the air from the fuel system. It works. You can look it up on You tube.

How do I get into heavy hauling? Most of my experience is in dump trucking, I would like to venture into other fields in the trucking industry any go info?
@Gcal1956
7 жыл бұрын
when hauling articulating pieces do you have to have the locking pin in? or strap both articulating pieces as if they were separate? JUst saw you locked it up. never mind the question.
@HHTV60
7 жыл бұрын
yes, the anti-articulation pin must be IN; otherwise you have to use extra chains to prevent articulation.

It's OK to drive this thing but covering the 500 miles from Pennsylvania to the destination in Ontario, Canada would take probably a week: you'd have to use back roads only! Also, when you show up in this thing at the border, it'd be pretty hard to talk to the Canadian border patrol officer - the windows in their booths are set up to match the window height of a regular truck, not this 40 ton mine rock truck ;)

It was very smart to raise the bed of the truck I thought there may be a bit of left over dirt. I didn't expect to see so much water but of course it's rain water. I am curious as to how much weight the water would have been. As a kid growing up most of us - at least my age do 72 looked forward to playing with our Tonka Truck in hope of one day driving the real thing. In my opinion you have the best of both worlds you not only drive the real deal truck but haul the big real life Tonka trucks around. Thank You so much being able to watch your videos helps me pass my time I am dying from cancer but still dreaming of those days I played with my big toy trucks. I hope that I made sense the medication confuses me. Cheers
