I love when you tube puts this on , I can still marvel at that girls voice back in my youth! Just saying that /Helen was 3 or 4 years older than I was in our Black and White TV Days of 1962!!

SHE TOOK A BACK SEAT TO NOBODY! WHY I NEVER HEARD HER RECORDINGS ON THE RADIO HERE IN THE USA IS AN ENIGMA TO ME. SHE WAS OBVIOUSLY WAY UP INTO THE BRENDA LEE CATEGORY OF TALENT. WHAT AN INEFFABLE WASTE AND A PITY THAT A 78 YEAR OLD CONTEMPORARY OF HELEN SHAPIRO AS I ONLY DISCOVERED HER A FEW YEARS AGO ON THESE OLD YOU TUBE VIDEOS.🥺😟 FROM A FAN BORN AND RAISED IN DALLAS, TEXAS, NOW RESIDING IN 🌠🌅LAS VEGAS, NEVADA🌅🌠

Well, yes when you heard Helen sing this song back in 1962! You would follow Hellen for at least the next 60 years as I have ! Just think , what a junior prom date or senior prom date Helen would have been back in the 60's!

Not bad for a fifteen-year-old ! Sensational. Thanks for uploading this HD version - much appreciated. There's a timelessness about it - written by Norman Newell and Norrie Paramor. That's Norrie (wearing glasses) in many of the scenes, conducting his well-known orchestra. No wonder he looks chuffed - Helen's perfect delivery must have made him quite proud.

She is fantastic! Should have been a major star in the USA as well as the UK. Her hits "You Don't Know", "Walking Back To Happiness" and " Queen for tonight" are equally impressive songs. As an American. I'm saddened I didn't become aware of her until late in life. The good Lord has given her a spiritual gift!

It reminds me so much of the Soviet pop music of the 60s. In the 70s, many Soviet pop celebrities emigrated to the West. But the time of such music has already ended and they found themselves in a deplorable state without a native audience with a terrible Russian accent and unable to return.

this was the most advertisement for Helen as a teenager! I think she may have just turned 14 years old while singing this tune!
