The Plas-101 Putifier has never worked right the day it released. It's fucking projectile does no damage but the subsequent explosion does do damage. It should be able to fuck up any Hulk, Annihilator, and any other bot object with them Radiator when directly shooting them but ut don't Plas Punsiher and Plas Scorcher had easier times doing such actions.

Hate whatever they did to cause all these PC's to crash every time you close the game the most! Never had this kind of issue until the hotfix on the backpack shields. In the troubleshooting on discord, a lot of other PC players are having this issue too.

As a Dad Diver, I think we're too squishy now. We take damage far too easy. I know it was too balance out power, but I play the game for fun, and if I can't survive an encounter, it's not any fun. Just need to take a little less damage and it will be perfect.

They did foreshadow some time ago that civilians are helping with war effort by making gas grenades, and now we have them. Do hope we'll get tanks soon

Stealth introducing maybe the occasional enemy or stratagem I can understand when tied to narrative story beats sure, but we need patch notes. Any "stealth changes" to weapons, gear, or stratagems. HECK NO. That's a problem not a feature.

please shadow drop features. What you are suggesting is shadow dropping balance changes, and that is just awful. These need to be explained. I can understand immersive notes for the things listed in the video, but this doesn't sound right. "This is more powerful" leaves so many issues.

While using the gaurd dog rover, fire damage resistance is almost a must. 0.02 sec hit by the laser and you got 0.05 sec to react or die by fire.

I play solo mostly, and using the rover sometimes I was walking and would just fall flat and die. I had no idea what was happening until I paid attention to the death screen, and it said I killed myself.

Yep, got clipped a couple times by the laser, hits your head and you are done for lol. Wonder if they kept the rover slightly above the player if that would help. I think in my case I was walking up an incline with the rover to my left, it was aiming at something to my right and my head got in the way lol.

I'm still waiting for a Deployable Cover Stratagem. I love the idea of having this stratagem for the High Value Asset defense missions. Imagine losing a section and retreating to the next door, but then reclaiming ground and deploying cover on where the destroyed doors were. Granted, the deployable cover would be destructible as well. It would be a fun tug-of-war of taking and losing ground.

As someone who played helldivers 1 I say gas doesn't need to be this big damaging thing. Cool, we have a lot of weapons that can kill things. We will get even more weapons that will kill things. What this game needs is variety like the first game. If people want to debuff enemies with gas then let them, if they want to deal damage then use the flamethrower instead. I agree the dogbreath and sterilizer can use a buff to shoot out clouds instead of sticking to enemies but thats where it should end in my opinion. I personally prefer the slower approach using gas to slow down enemies over just overwhelming their overwhelming force, it is a different playstyle and different playstyles should be embraced in this game. Now that we can use a lot of weapons to kill enemies, new alternative playstyles should be celebrated. Gas debuff, melee, stealth, etc. In the first game you could play a hundred different ways and this game isnt there yet. Gas, in my opinion, is a step in that direction.

eh...i mean, gas isnt really useful against bots. striders and tanks are immune to it. which is okay i guess. Its just... you know... you could take a recoilless instead of the sterilizer, the difference in efficiency is massive. Would have made more sense if the sterilizer was a primary. Its just a bad deal all around if you think about people spending real money on it. Possibly the worst warbond if you wanted to buy one.

As someone that rocks the ballistic shield with the bonus stims armour and roleplays as a combat medic, I appreciate this comment. Playstyle variance should be embraced. It works within the lore too. Helldivers are thrust onto ships with minimal training and are yeeted into the battlefield randomly. But each one (if they survive) can purchase their own gear. "Creative Freedom should be embraced by Command. Less dissent means more managed Democracy." - Major General [REDACTED] prior to the [REDACTED] Incident. I love the roleplay opportunities in this game. It's even better when you stumble across D&D players on a random mission. 😂

The unfortunate reality is... Gas this way would work if the game's purpose was different. If staying out of combat or avoiding the troop movements were the objective, that increases the value in gas blinding and confusion. However, *we're bred to KILL EVERYTHING and KILL IT FAST!!!* Gas being this 'niche purpose tool' in order to buy time actually loses its value as you up the ante in difficulty. You can't gas the enemy enough before they summon *more* enemies to overwhelm the lack of force you present. Enemies being alive after a certain timer increases the potential in which the diver is killed, injured, or has lost time for the mission's parameters; potential for failure rises. I tried it, and I'm a very flexible player. It is still a unique idea and I love the flavor it presents. But it really should keep its flavor and get its damage back, because leaving enemies alive, if a bit confused, is worse off.

People are sleeping on the new warbond. Remember that the old gas strike was updated specifically for this warbond. The new gas strike is amazing, and the gas grenades are my new favourite grenades. If you are a Solo diver, gas is a godsend. Gas+Fire and i can control 2-3 bug breaches at a time, note i play on 6-8, so im facing significantly more chaff than people who play 9-10.

I've been playing with the Blitzer, and during egg missions I sometimes need to melee a few eggs. Having a bayonet, even if it adds zero damage, range, or attack speed just LOOKS cool. Would happily see this and other cosmetics added to the game. Melee in combat situations is something I never think to use, so buffing it doesn't change my gameplay.

For the chemical warbond, i think the gas effect should also slow movement speed. maybe like 20-40%, and the gas armor makes you immune to the movement speed effect. that would spice it up more without making it cause more damage, and keeping it in the crowd control category.

I always liked the idea of a deployable cover that could be dropped in by a Pelican. like make it tall enough for a ramp, covered in thick armor with a lot of health to make it almost semi permanent and enough space on top for a sentry or two. Limit to 3 per match so helldivers can set up FOB's on the map as needed with firefights with bots or swarms of bugs. Imagine these have a 120° curve so set up 3 and you are tightly defended while MG emplacements and helldivers shoot from the top that has waist-high cover or maybe there are firing slits in the bottom to flamer those hordes of hivegaurds clawing at the FOB. Mortars could be placed behind (though let them ignore all enemies in a 1-3meter radius from the wall itself. Mortars kill hellivers too easy on top of walls. their erratic aim will still hit stuff around the base of the wall anyway that way and if these emplacements get surrounded and enemies get through team killing will be expected anyway. it's the battlefield after all). ...maybe it comes with one very basic mg sticking out of the bottom front. ideas are endless for the versatile fun. play tower defense, block off strategic entrances to evac or civilian evac missions or if they ever add urban city blocs environments. ideas are endless for the versatile fun and Rourke's drift / hold-the line moments.

for difficulties 11 and up, i think they should wait until they have a new significantly mission type or a kind of boss enemy, like a hive lord or maybe something even bigger for terminids, maybe somekind of giant shrieker. im not sure what the automatons would get, maybe a giant battle mech, like a titan from warhammer. i feel like they need something besides more numbers to meaningfully differentiate difficulties 11+.

Not sure if this has been suggested before but imagine a stratagem that can be used to safely transfer samples away. Kind of like the balloon in MGSV to extract targets/ shipments. It would take a strat slot and maybe a defense mini game to get the samples secured or have a fixed location on the map that adds this feature. Would be great for those higher difficulty missions.

Naw, we just been playing the game a shit ton, I personally only play on helldive, bots, and go alone, and if I die once I quit the match and start over, It's a lot of fun, yes you die a lot but the fun is overcoming that challenge, I can complete a run without dying like 30% of the time now. Going into public games is just something I do to relax, cause it's just so easy I sometimes double check to see if I'm on the right difficulty compared to what I'm used to lol

the bayonets would be an amazing addition to the game; I think it would work best as an equipable item that you can add to your primaries. so without one, pressing F would do the regular melee attack; but with a bayonet attached the damage you deal would be doubled or even tripled. along with new animations of course

More lore would be nice. Even if its Super Earth version of events (wich is the truth). A compendium at the SuperDestroyer with anatomy details of the enemies you fight. Bayonet sounds nice. Perhaps a knife or other futuristic Super Earth versions of melee weapons.

What would be better than being more susceptible to igniting, would be making the gas actually flammable. Dropping an orbital gas strike and then hitting it with flames to ignite the aoe would be pretty sick. Also just a side thing, some more colonized (more buildings) planets near Super Earth would be nice to see if the enemies break our defenses and get close. (Another thing that would be nice is buffing the throwing knifes capacity or buffing its damage and changing the arc to a more direct throw)

Also having a sterilizer be able to touch flame and turn into a flamethrower with the blinding effect would be a very versatile asset.

My idea is area debuff strategems. Like a lingering zone of mist that slows down bugs and makes them deal less damage for 30 seconds once entered. Not a stun like the EMS, but a long lasting area debuff strike. Maybe like a sleep mist that drains the energy of bugs, but not enough to make them pass out.

My new favorite toy is the Thermite Grenade. It takes out bot factories without hitting the vents. It takes out bug holes and anything nearby. It burns through chargers. It melts through hulks. My kit of choice is an eruptor and jet pack with a laser cannon and thermite grenades, in scout armor. With the right strategems I am a wrecking crew.

As far as melee goes, I use it quite often. I almost exclusively use flamethrowers and rely pretty heavily on melee. A well timed hit can interrupt a hunter mid leap, stun a commander out of getting in a hard hit, or even created a few feet of distance to allow for the delay in the spray from a flamethrowers on trigger pull. Being able to get up close and person it what I kind of live for in my builds and bayonets embody the very idea of that. Or even a rambo-like combat knife that is equipped as a secondary would be amazing and I'm all for it.

I would love to see the bayonets to be an unlock which increases the melee damage by 300% or so. We definitely need a Trench Gun, preferably called the '97, in reference to the Winchester 1897 shotgun used by US forces in WWI.

2 things. It will get you killed against bots faster, too, if you play on 7+. That charge up time is brutal for the damage it delivers. The risk is not worth the reward.

Also in regards to the melee stuff. I rock Peak Physique on bugs and I average around 25+ melee kills a game. One shots scavengers and the flying scavengers, pops a hunter’s head in two shots or four hits to the body, and can go toe to toe with a warrior if you time your hits right. The perk of melee is that it’s fast and knocks back enemies regardless. So when I’m surrounded by bugs, I’ll melee the one that’s in the middle of an attack animation to cancel it and knock it back. Repeat this process until you have an opening to dive out of and start to create some distance. I’ll even turn around to the few hunters and scavengers that are chasing me and kill em with melee bc it saves ammo

For a new a fortification stratagem idea I think it would be cool if we had something like the shield generator relay but instead of an energy bubble as a shield, we have a straight wall that extends about 20m and allows us to peak over the wall to return fire. To keep the shield generator a good option this stratagem should have a longer cooldown than the shield generator relay. The idea of this stratagem is to provide cover for helldivers which is often difficult to find especially on the automaton front. Its secondary use would be area denial, blocking off the side of an objective to deny the enemy access into an objective. This wall wouldn't have a timer before it goes out rather it would be purely health based and would disappear once destroyed. This would also be especially helpful on the more baron planets like Claorell and Trandor.

Freeedoooom is being spread like the early days! Strategy has been changed to being more careful and attacking enemies from a distance strategically. At least I personally happen to survive a lot LESS enemy firepower while stimboosting than I did before the big buff update. But when staying at a careful distance the buffed weapons can now SHRED :D I hope the Spear gets a buff soon because the Recoilles can oneshot just like it and has more ammo. Wanna see more use for it soon :)

Bayonets were in the first Helldivers, which gave you more melee damage by thrusting your weapon into an enemy. Would love to see it return to stab those bugs and bots.

I would use the bayonet as a way to finish some enemies instead of reloading immediately when running out of shots. I feel the knife was an option for them to increase their melee ability for the player but that didnt happen. I dont want it to be a booster we have to take.

I will start by saying, I am in full support for the direction that arrowhead is taking here. Keep it up! But one thing from the buff diver updates that has pushed me away from the game completely is that stealth (which was my main and only playstyle that I enjoyed) has been completely gutted to the point where I cant even play the game, even the STEALTH armour doesn't seem to work anymore. Anyone else feel the same?

How about adding Napalm and gas sentrys? Either turrets or mortars (I think, gas mortar/Napalm sentry) would add more stratagems to pick, tactics to use and things to go with complementing armour.

First time commenting let's go! So the gas/flame interplay, my comrades and I have been using a gas/flame combo to completely neutralise some waves of enemies - with the new gas effects they simply have no idea which way to go to get out of the fire and typically end up cooking themselves on whatever napalm puddles we've left around. That said, the Steriliser and Dog Breath are somewhat lacking teeth. I actually disagree about the DoT being the main issue though I certainly won't complain if it goes up - I think they both need more direct damage as a QoL feature so you can hose down specific bugs, as well as a more cone-shaped spread and more range (you'd be very surprised at the range irl gas sprayers similar to the steriliser have), that way you have more time to hose them down and you're getting more bugs at once with each sweep. Potentially they could also alter the DoT effect to stack to a certain degree, meaning enemies that get lost in the sauce or receive the entire tank get increasingly cooked with their greater exposure to those sweet, sweet Chemical Agents.

I’ve been using the Purifier on bots mainly because of the raw durable damage and explosive radius it has. It’s similar to the plasma punisher in explosive radius but the range can go out to 85-95 meters before projectile drop affects it in a major way.

I tried the purifier for the first time a couple days ago and it severely needs a buff. It takes the same amount of shots to kill any devastator with a 2 second charge time vs semi auto with the scorcher. I think the suggested change will be good if they either add more splash radius or increase the charge damage significantly.

@@DeafEnderthe purifier is good people just want a gun to do everything. To be quite honest the purifier can one shot any type of Walker on the bot side. Light bot patrols die to 3 purifier shots (that's 11-12 in the patrol) brood commanders take two of them. Three shots destroys BOTH under guns on a strider. Literally give yourself either the heavy machine gun or the regular machine gun and pair it with the purifier and watch you do wonders on the battlefield. You're probably not going to kill with the purifier simply if you're too impatient, but if you give yourself good positioning and stay on the outside of the swarms you can definitely pick out a whole groups of them before they get to you. Use your fast shooting secondary to keep them at Bay if they get too close and you'll be good to go. He'll take thermites for the heavies and you'll be even better.

I LOVE the idea of the gas+fire combo. When I first started playing the game I remember really wanting the gas clouds to have a mechanic where if you hit it with a flamethrower or any other fire it would burst into flames for a second, causing massive damage and setting enemies on fire, but also dissipating super quick . Basically it would let you choose between sustained overtime gas damage, or a quick burst of fire damage. I feel like that would be even better now since gas has that confusion effect, which means you'd be making a more impactful decision

We need a very simple QOL feature: Hold Backpack Key to manually order drone to dock/deploy from backpack. Maybe even same for shields. On the subject of the tower deployment mentioned in the video. Maybe something like a big brother to the "planned" deployable barricades. Enough room on top for some turrets and unfolds from one of the storage crate things already in the hanger, dropped in like the mechs. If strong enough would be nice to use to cut off points of entry. But a tall skinny tower sounds like a death sentence unless its just to pair with other strategems for a height advantage. IE: Call it down and call something on the same spot. It hits and provides a "stand" for a sentry or a height advantage for wider mine deployment. Very limited use but honestly would be fun.

They should add a homing system for the Stim Pistol IMO. Kinda like Killing Floor 2. When you use the Stim pistol, it can both be used as a weapon or a Homing Mini syringe that heals teammates

Ideas for gas: 1. Needs to heavily buff the orbital gas strike maybe add an orbital gas barrage similar to the napalm barrage and/or gas airstrike? 2. Make the gas have almost acidic burn effect on the enemies affected 3. Buff the already existing damages that the gas does to enemies such as the confusion/disorientation effect 4. Maybe create some synergy between flames & gas example throw a gas grenade maybe let it do its normal thing or throw some flames into the mix & say the gas acts like a big igniter for the fire causing flames to go everywhere again just pondering on these quick ideas

The stealth changes with the sounds are the sort of stealth changes i love. AH have done an awesome job with the new sounds and im still noticing more that have changed! Especially the new very satisfying bullet impact on the Shield Generator Relay! Thank you again AH for awesome updates like this!

I have been dreaming of a cool merch line they could totally do and hear me out on this: Helldiver armor figures you can customize to make your own personal Diver with the different figs carrying their own build you can customize. Stuff like the B-01 tactical and it's variants all carrying stuff like the RR and pack, one with an auto cannon, one with a supply pack, and the last one would be carrying the arch thrower as examples. All in their own drop pod packaging! I think doing each armor set as a customizable figure so you can take the parts from other sets and make your own would be a super fun idea.

One thing they could do for the stim pistol on top of fixing the hit boxes is add a lock-on option for it. Similar to switching the railgun into unsafe mode. Make it to when you switch modes have a charge up and have some sort of indication, whether it be a sound queue or green light on the pistol, letting you know it’s locked on to your teammate. I feel like this would add more versatility for long shots to teammates at a distance while still keeping it viable to fire outside of lock-on at shorter distances

Democracy's greetings, one stratagem that I feel needs a buff is the Shield Generator tower, it needs to stick around longer before dropping away. We need a way of dropping down cover that can shield us against the automatons. How about a barricade we can deploy?

Could add a 2ndary effect for the call down for jetpack. When jetpack pod drops, as soon as a player picks it up, that could be the trigger for making the area around the jetpack drop pod to create this high ground. Something almost like Mei wall in Overwatch, or build up a Def tower.

Love that idea of space battles happening while you’re on your ship. I mean you have this huge ship with guns that you upgrade so it would be nice to see them firing at the enemy ships. I just get battle over Coruscant from episode 3 vibes. Maybe hear some radio chatter over the coms.

Yes for the Mega Helldive, also i'd love to see some acid based weapons, that leave a residue on the ground or creatures that damages when ever covered on walking through, and it slows you down just a bit

For the stim pistol, what they need to do is add a large hit volume around the players, so that if you shoot the stim pistol (and any other similar support weapon that may exist at some point in the future) anywhere kind-of close to an ally, it hits that ally. I'm imagining a full helldiver body-width past the edge of the model in every direction. Basically how Killing Floor does it I think. Step 2 is to adjust the visuals so it calculates a hit ahead of time and then the stim angles towards the target so it doesn't look like you are shooting empty space, but that's not actually important for function.

The mechs are feeling so good, though I wish there was some way to get more ammo, or get more drop downs of the uses. It feels so good to cover my teammates as they run for the hills and I take down a few chargers and bile titans and then use the Mech to plug a hole in the canyon and we all keep running away. I have done this a couple times now and it feels so good. I hope we get a melee build for helldivers. Give us a sword, Bayonet, Let us melee with the throwing knives for a little added damage. Give me a mech with a beam cannon and a fire sword! I already bash in metal skulls and bug carapace with my fist whenever I am reloading. Give me some knuckle dusters! Amazing content as always! Also it would be nice if they raise the medals for the difficulties or they made it easier to get medals since level 5 gets around the same medals as level 7 .

The purifier is still one of my favourite weapons against the bots. I like the fact that you can damage and stagger multiple ennemies, like heavy devastators, at the same time if they're close to each other; if you get the rythm good, they're constantly staggered and can't shoot. The blast is quite powerful, you can kill a Heavy Devastators even if your shots land on the shield or on the ground. I guess the plasma punisher allows that too, but it's easier to land shots with the Purifier, even at very long range. It's also effective to kill the "attack ships" (don't know how they're exactly call in english), and has a good ammo economy. 1 shot can kill a group of little bots, and i use my secondary to deal with the ones left if they're close enough. The main problem with the Purifier is that you can't really fight when you're getting overwhelmed because of the charge up thing. Other problem; not that good to fight against the Berserkers when they're too close, because when you stagger them, they don't stop completely; they... "slide" in your direction... or something like that. That's a little bit annoying and I wonder if this "sliding" is intended or if it's a forgotten detail. To sum up, I would say this weapon is not suited for people who like quick chaotic combat, but is good if you're more of a methodic fighter, and is excellent if you play as a supporting dude. Also, I never tried it against the bugs and I never play solo. Anyway, if they really add the functionality of firing like the scorcher, well i hope they give the scorcher a little buff because otherwise the Purifier will instantly make it obsolete IMO :) cause it would solve the problem of fighting when getting overwhelmed, while still having that lovely blast!

The issue with creating higher and higher difficulties is finding that sweet spot. It's extremely difficult. One little change can have rippling effects that takes a game from "Yay" to "Nay". We've seen this before when they tweaked spawn and patrol rates.

Something I learned via testing, the stim pistols healing actually stacks. The more healing darts you shoot into someone, the more/quicker they heal.

I have been running the Salamander armour, and mix of Chem and Flame, great set upI would say that the chem thrower just needs gas dispersion after a distance so it can do both, up close acid armour reduction, then further out it leaves gas

Simply having the tower go up only solves the climbing animation task if the only ways out are: 1. It goes back down; 2. You have to jump out; 3. Enemies collapse the tower. I think having it go up and down is too much. I say up automatically for the first bit and if you happen to jump on, great.

Just imagine a higher difficulty or score multiplier add-on in the game. Example: -Respawning doesn’t resupply ammo, you respawn with the same amount you had upon dying. -Resupply packs are heavily encouraged for loadouts -Ammo is scarce on the planets you play on -You WILL fix Bayonets🫡

I think the best thing for the new gas weapons would be if the gas was flammable and extend that to the gas strike stratagem as well as add a mechanic that the bugs steer away from the source of the gas, allowing you to funnel them towards your teammates

There is also a big problem with the supply bag combined with the 500kg bomb. If you press the last arrow you automaticlly use a supply, even if you don't need one. Sorry for my bad English hope you could still understand it.

Buffduver update brought me back to the game, what do you know? You made so many things feel good to use that now the game is fun again. Want to try killing bike titans by running around as a flamethrower crew? That’s really stupid and dangerous but that’s exactly what we did and it was hilarious that it works, but also was not necessarily efficient

I do think creating higher level Helldives would satiate the more skilled Divers. Maybe name then in a class system like " Elte Helldive" , or " Helldive - Commander Class", and so forth.

You know what would be cool? More encampments. Or how about base building / utilizing territories for stategical positioning for fending off massive hoarde missions, or something like that. For instance, maybe we all get a shovel or some tools / animations to build up certain bases with barbed wire, reinforced strategic postions, SEAF machine gun nests, maybe a mobile artillery unit that we can man (kinda like in BF1 etc.) Then we'd have to hold our ground until reinforcements arrive or something cool like that! There's just so many awesome things I envision in the future for Helldivers. 😅🎉

I feel the bayonet fits nicely into the 'last option' slot. The way the buffs are going, we're going to be well equipped with high quality weapons, and the enemy will have sheer number. At some point, we'll need a melee weapon to hold out with!

I tried out the dogbreath with the support flamethrower and found that the gas effect doesn't reliably keep enemies at bay... I felt safer just running the supply pack for extra stims but I honestly think it could be fixed if the dogbreath gets more capacity and/or a strong slow effect.

Adding higher difficulties would be great. Given the current cadence of ship upgrades, things to “buy”, and resource caps, it’s a little difficult to gauge how often I would push up to 10 and beyond as it currently stands as all risk, no reward. I understand how the risk can also be the reward so one shouldn’t be dependent on the other, but I hope resource caps and difficulties are addressed in tandem.

I think we need a few things to truly help the players and show that AH is committed to its community. 1) A new free warbond so generic 1-time purchase players can still be somewhat on a fair level in terms of extra goodies even if they do farm super creds. 2) Raise caps on samples, req slips, and medals, and 3) continue to ask for community suggestions for items desired in game.
