That was pretty easy! Have you tried this already?

Thanks showing this is possible. I liked the idea of the IK pro2 plus because of the valve but now that’s not an issue. Couple of suggestions: you should look into the Ryobi inflator(since you have he battery already in your drill), I have one and it’s great. Would be perfect for this setup and you don’t have to turn on the compressor to top this off. And only like 20 bucks. 2) when you are trying to figure out the right size drill, use the index (the plastic holder) and use it a sizing gauge. I’m this case the valve would not have fit in the slot for the first bit and you would know to step up one size. Just a time saver.

Thanks. I have a more recent video of the inflator you should check out!

You got lucky there with the placement of the whole 😅, when you started drilling I was praying it is not going to end up under the handle . Excellent idea 👍

I have the Axel 3000 foamer. The only issue I'm having is the pressure relief valve does not activate?? I filled it with water to the 2250 line. I put 45 psi and stopped because I'm afraid that it may blow up!! Could the relief valve be defective? Even by pumping it, the valve doesn't open.
@BelLavoroAutoSpa

@ericrainey5361 I believe this one gets up to a pretty good pressure I forget the limit though. You could email the vendor you got it from to ask and see if yours is defective.

Great mod.just be careful and don’t over pressurize the unit.......kaboooom and you’re covered with goo.or what have you and shrapnel flying everywhere.as well you will blow out the seal between the top and the jar.it’s probably a large O-ring

Thanks for taking the plunge and giving this a shot. Seems pretty simple and worth the small investment. I’m with you - so done pumping these bad boys and don’t want to continuously buy new ones just to get a pre-installed valve. Thank you Sir. You earned a sub from me!

What would the max psi pressure a spray bottle could take?

@JohnChristopher-k7u depends on the quality of the bottle but most seem to handle around 50psi safely

I've read reviews stating some purchasers of the Marolex Axel experienced cracking at the seam on the bottom of the container within a few months of use. How long have you had yours and have you heard of this happening? I'm looking to replace a foam pump that came with a waterless wash kit I purchased from AMMO NYC. Thanks

I have had mime for about 2 years now. I think a lot of people are just too rough with their equipment. I have seen people complain of breaking wash buckets and I can't help but wonder if they have steel cage matches with their equipment.

Oh wow, ok. 2 years says a lot. I have an annoying habit of trying to keep everything looking new for as long as I can.... I think I can do that with this also...lol 🙂 Thanks for the reply!

sometimes I have to readjust because I can hear a very slight air leak from the stem. Air doesn't leak out of anywhere else. Liquid could probably leak from the top but I don't overfill or told it over to give it a chance to.

Been debating if I should make this modification or purchase the ik foamer 2+ with the Schrader valve pre-installed… have you had any issues with your marolex since doing this or would you recommend the ik foam pro 2+?
@BelLavoroAutoSpa

Getting the valve set so it wouldnt leak was a learning cruve, but otherwise I like this over the ik 2+. I would suggest the IK if you don't feel comfortable modifying yours.

Might do something in the future. Not much you van do to add more gloss after already putting something on for protection. The real gloss comes from polishing the paint before hand.
