Unfortunately, not quite. This is a song of admitting to the narcissism in ALL of us. The vast majority of the time that people are pointing fingers at others as narcissists, it is actually them. If you can't admit this is a part of you, and have been this person, and you have done this to others, it should be abundantly clear to you that you are the narcissist. Not trying to be a jerk but it's honest. If you can't see it, you don't know yourself, which makes you way more dangerous than a person that can admit to it.

Isn't it strange, that classic narcissists have been found in many aspects of this World today, as well as in times past? Look at Religion, for example. Look at how many classic narcissists have been found in all of those different "Denominations", that use and threaten people like they have, throughout the ages. In their own way... they're all the same. Look at the "Governing Authorities " of our World. In various aspects: It's just more of the same. Lie to people about this and that, and actually threaten people with "Dire consequences ", if the people don't "Line up " with their bull, and their lies. Don't know about you, but I'm sick and tired of it! I'd rather just be me, and live in my own space, and be honest with people, and just be happy. Know what I mean?

My list of relevant songs from that time period, runs like this - Henry Rollins Band: Liar and L. S. O. (Low Self Opinion). Pantera:Mouth For War, Broken, and Domination. Ministry:Just One Fix. Megadeth: Foreclosure Of A Dream. These are songs that I see as relevant, and that challenge me, as a person, to live better, and to live above the level that I was at...as well as being extremely careful, as to who I listen to, when it comes to my life choices. This song, "Liar", exposes certain "Authority figures", such as Law and Religion, for any of the mutual crud that they've spread around over their respective timelines. I believe in steering clear of "Religions" and different facets of "Law Enforcement", when the case arises, as to how certain "Law Enforcement Officers" break their own laws for any reason, and start treading on the rights and persons that they do, for any unreasonable needs and means that gratify only themselves. That's me, in a nutshell: Live the best life that I can, and helping others when needed.

Kind of drives home the point that this person doesn’t even know why they’re lying. And, I think it represents that crippling insecurity at the core of the narcissistic profile. In this case…the desert is already there, but he’s built a curated, storybook facade of it that he thinks you’ll like better. It’s ridiculous since someone who likes a painting of the desert is obviously hoping it’s just a preview of the real thing. But he’ll never let anyone get that close. It’s not enough to be seen, he has to be seen as the best version you can imagine.

Great interpretation. I also think the desert represents the Narcissist/Sociopath person's barren wasteland and sickness of the soul. They wear their saintly masks (the superhero, the police officer and the nun) to con people, but they are always running away from the reality of that desert inside.

@@zofiajaneczek184 How old are you? Every "generation" has its stupidity. Most uninterested people, regardless of when they lived, just want to get along. Sometimes, like "Gen-X," there is a hope of frustration, a way above the status quo. I think Gen-X was pissed. They wanted change, they got stuck in-between their parent and grandparent baby-boomers and the later millennials. The middle class of that era was never truely "Gen-x" ... Neither were the descendants of the blue collar middle. The "Gen-X" is the first to see that they will not have a life better than their parents. Some will see success, with home ownership, personal wealth, etc. But many will not. Many fewer Gen-Y will see a similar vision of life success. Gen-X was the first to see the end of the American Dream. This is the very sort of song to show it. Sad, now, that it is even more politically relevant today than it was when it was new.

Rose Daddona you seem like a strong person, men or women there are no bad people, just those who allowed themselves to be corrupted by weakness, who than resort to bad behaviour, the fact that you share this with strangers shows you have the strength to portray vulnerability. I got stuck with a roommate who was always lying about everything to try and impress people.mostly trying to impress girls.he lied so much about himself I think he believed his own lies. The first day the old landlady met him,she said she thought he was a bragged. (Constantly bragging himself) after a while I realized he lied so much that something was literally mentally wrong with him.I seen his phone bill where he called a girl who was obviously avoiding him at exactly every 10 minutes for like 6 hrs nonstop.his lying would get him laid until girls realized he constantly lied. Last I knew he was a used car salesman:(lol go figure)

With a true narcissist, EXPOSING THEM IS DANGEROUS. Once they see you as a threat , they destroy your credibility so you are not believed or shunned. it took a long time to discover people were avoiding me because they'd been warned I was a thief, liar and drug addict. It's not something people would tell me, I just got the cold shoulder and had weird accusations hurled at me. "I don't know what you're talking about" only makes them think I'm denying some wrongdoing they heard, not realizing it's a false accusation. ONLY EXPOSE LIES WITH PHOTOS,TEXTS AND EMAILS AS PROOF Hesaid/she said is a losing game when played with a lying egomaniac with ulterior motives. @@saynotohookups

[Verse 1] So you think you're gonna live your life alone In darkness and seclusion Yeah I know, you've been out there and tried to mix with those animals And it just left you full of humiliated confusion So you stagger back home and wait for nothing But the solitary refinement of your room spits you back out onto the street And now you're desperate and in need of human contact And then you meet me and your whole world changes Because everything I say is everything you've ever wanted to hear So you drop all your defenses, and you drop all your fears And you trust me completely I'm perfect in every way 'Cause I make you feel so strong and so powerful inside You feel so lucky But your ego obscures reality and you never bother to wonder why things are going so well You wanna know why? [Chorus] 'Cause I'm a liar! Yeah, I'm a liar! I'll tear your mind out I'll burn your soul I'll turn you into me I'll turn you into me 'Cause I'm a liar, a liar A liar, a liar [Verse 2] I'll hide behind a smile And understanding eyes And I'll tell you things that you already know So you can say, "I really identify with you, so much" And all the time that you're needing me Is just the time that I'm bleeding you! Don't you get it yet?! I'll come to you like an affliction And I'll leave you like an addiction! You'll never forget me! You wanna know why?! [Chorus] 'Cause I'm a liar! Yeah, I'm a liar! I'll rip your mind out I'll burn your soul I'll turn you into me I'll turn you into me 'Cause I'm a liar, a liar A liar, a liar Liar, liar, liar, liar! [Bridge] I don't know why I feel the need to lie And cause you so much pain Maybe it's something inside Maybe it's something I can't explain 'Cause all I do Is mess you up and lie to you I'm a liar Oh, I am a liar [Verse 3] But if you'll give me just one more chance I swear that I will never lie to you again Because now I see the destructive power of a lie They're stronger than truth I can't believe I ever hurt you I swear I will never to you lie again, please Just give me one more chance I will never lie to you again No, I swear I will never tell a lie I will never tell a lie No, no Ha ha ha ha ha ha haa! Ho ho ho ho! Sucker! Sucker! Oh, sucker! I am a liar! Yeah, I am a liar! Yeah, I like it! I feel good! Ohh, I am a liar! Yeah I lie, I lie, I lie! Oh, I lie! Oh, I lie! I lie! Yeah Oh, I'm a liar! I lie! Yeah, I like it! I feel good! I'll lie again And again I'll lie again and again And I'll keep lying! I promise!
