Sometimes saying just "No" No. No No " to kids when they ask for chocolates & other junk foods can lead them to lying or hiding or even over eating them.
The more strongly you resist, they more stronger the craving is going to be for them. So here is a video to just give you some different ideas for saying "No Indirectly" and push & delay their desire to much in a happier, kinder way.
1. Use Humor, smile, dance and say "No *name*/*pet name*. Using humor is better than rude, angry replies.
2. Push to a time frame like next week/next Thursday where you promise them that they can eat it with you.
3. Accept that you crave chocolates, but you are not going to have it since its not so great for your body.
4. Explain a little about some foods help our body grow, some foods dont help our body grow. Chocolates is one of them, So best to eat as little as possible
5. Push to a situation where they can eat together with friends or families and it will be more fun
6. Ask them if they are craving for sweet, and offer a fruit, honey, homemade dessert instead
7. Sometimes it could just be hunger that makes them come looking for something to eat. So ask if they want food instead.
In the end, the idea is to delay, reduce the consumption of chocolates and also make them realize that its not something that is helping their body.
If we make this point in a very sweet, loving way, they will slowly come our way. It takes time, but we need to be firm, persistant and patient in our speech.
