Just a quick update everyone. I forgot to mention, the scooter can achieve 37kmh fully charged. 54.5V X 16A is about 872W. Speed will drop off as soon as V drop off.

Do you have suggestions for those who occasionally want to travel down sandy roads such as those into Kilcarnup and Bob's Hollow? I am reluctant to drive my moto vehicle down such tracks lest I get stuck or find a need to turn around, or just go to the side for someone else to pass by me. My sight isn't good for driving in confined spaces.

Thanks mate, they are a lot of fun. More videos coming with other models, just been a nightmare this winter with rain nearly every day. Ask the guys at Hetzer about the new 1200 model, now that's fun! They send via Toll. Toll is expensive and they just drop it off at your door and run. If you are worried that no one would be home, just ask Hetzer if they deliver to a Toll depot instead. It came in 4 days from Melbourne to Perth if that helps

Hi again. Hubbys been riding the scooter and the scooter wint move! The controller lights are on. Fully charged. But the scooter won't move. Nothing in the manual. @@ktcee803 Scooters failures are a pain to diagnose. It's a process of elimination. The parts of the scooter that fails are 'display' - the part you see on the handlebar that displays speed etc, controller and battery - both are inside the deck so you won't see it without opening. Easiest part to eliminate are cables. Check each cable has not been pinched or pulled away from the ends.

We have been using Leitner electic bikes for several years now but want something a bit more convenient to take for short trips in the 4x4. Just purchased 2 of these so it will be interesting to see what they are like. Interestingly, the Leitner bikes were actually chaper than these scooters so someone is making a lot of money out of escooters.

I agree about looking stupid, sitting on e scooter. Mine has a seat and I don’t use it. Plus, they seem extremely unsafe. Standing is the way. Yeh my horn is obnoxious too. I don’t use it. Your scooter is similar to mine. The handlebars, key ignition , lights buttons and throttle are exactly the same. I paid £414 for mine and get 27mph on full battery.
@thatscooterguy2375

The only scooter that looks great with a seat is the Weped Dark Knight at $18,000, everything else looks a little silly. Having said that, I've used the seats a few times to give my legs a break. A lot of scooter factorys are more like assembly plants, the parts are all the same. I've seen at least a dozen scooters with exactly the same 'unique' deck. There's nothing wrong with that at that moment as the E scooter industry is just starting out and I don't think there are too many players in the industry that have the capital to heavily invest in research and development. Minimotors comes to mind but their R&D is a drop in the ocean relative to say something like the automotive industry and what Toyota and Mercedes etc spend. I just add a handlebar extender and put on a bicycle bell. 27mph is very good, is that measured using GPS?

@@thatscooterguy2375 oh yes, I know of that e scooter. They have quite a few models. It’s crazy. I’m not totally sold on the design tho. No not gps, I’m just going by speedometer on scooter. I don’t mind if it’s not accurate, as it’s plenty fast for me. I’m happy at 22mph when only 1/3 battery left. I’m kinda glad that I sent my solar p1 back. That thing goes 40mph and while it isn’t the fastest scooter, it’s fast enough to get me in a lot of trouble. 😭

Are you referring to the kickstand or the rear foot rest? The kickstand is problematic as it's made for a lighter scooter so care must be exercised when using it. So far no issues with the display. It's the same display used for cheap scooters and expensive scooters. Some scooters are moving to central display.

@thatscooterguy2375

I raised this with the manufacturer. The motor has been too detuned and held back by the controller. Controller will burn if power is increased so it ends up not going uphills well. You can go into the controller settings and change the current right up but that will guarantee to burn the controller.

Got our 2 x H5 GTs yesterday. Very quick delivery. Looks like they decided to add the small trundle wheels that ween't present on your scooter. Good idea too as they protect the bottom of the scooter when it is folded up. Quite a bit heavier than I thought they might be despite knowing the weight when I bought them. Reality Vs expectation I guess :) Made a quick unboxing and assembly vid for anyone who is interested: kzitem.info/news/bejne/sXdruHyasomHfI4&ab_channel=WesternAustraliaNowandThen

There were holes cut out for them, and I asked Corey to put the wheels in place of the holes. They are fantastic for lugging the thing around when it's folded up and chucked in the ute. That rear foot rest is fantastic for attaching a milk crate to and using that milk crate as a storage for travelling around and putting shopping in.

@thatscooterguy2375

The H5 Pro is good value. It's the same as the GT minus all the weight. It's built well but has the same issues getting up hills. Range is a little less than GT at 31.5km but there is so much space to upgrade to a larger cheap AliExpress battery. Be extremely careful not to step on the rear mud guard, that part is $50 and hard to find if you damage it. If you accidentally break anything, message me straight away for tips to fix it, or if the scooter has issues within warranty, I can help with sorting it out and Hetzer would post parts to you. Lubricate the nuts and bolts as they will rust. Solid tyres are great but ride is a little harsh. I would choose H5 and H5 Pro over GT. Let me know if you want me to do a video on the H5 Pro.

@@patlord1968 that range is at 25kms per hour on flat ground. I'm 75kg as well. Prices for all electric scooters are crazy at the moment because of the bad exchange rate and supply issues, so choices are limited in the $1000 range. Be very very careful not to step or jump on the mudguard. It has a break light cable built into it. The Dragon scooters are about $100 more if you want to look at that. Scooteroo in Perth stopped stocking Dragon scooters so I can not review them so I have no idea whether they are any good.
