I just got those off road tires. About how many miles would you say you can put on them before needing new ones.
@thatscooterguy2375
27 күн бұрын
2,000 miles or 3,000kms for tube tires, close to 5,000miles or 8,000kms for solid. Hard braking and acceleration kills the tires. Riding on the road in hot weather surprisingly also wears out the tires quickly

I haven’t ever cross HV scooter. I need to replace the rear brake caliber. Ever cross does not have them available are the fittings for different calipers the same and other words do I have to worry about that the holes will match up or is that standard for most scooters.? I have a similar question about the brake pads. If the form is the same does it really matter who the manufacturer is if it fits is it standard also?

That stand is weak made out of light gauge steel & it made well from the front end to the back of the battery box but the rear end wheel frame is way lighter which i think will be a problem i cant understand why they have done that,, anyway time will tell i guess, also the display,,dash key switch, throttle magnet on mine fell out,, not glued well,, so i glued it back in be carefully u can glue it the wrong way around and go is stop & stop is go
@thatscooterguy2375

Are you referring to the kickstand or the rear foot rest? The kickstand is problematic as it's made for a lighter scooter so care must be exercised when using it. So far no issues with the display. It's the same display used for cheap scooters and expensive scooters. Some scooters are moving to central display.

Even at the top speed setting, its slow going up a slope. Is there a way to get the scooter to go faster up hills? (Its quicker to walk atm)
@thatscooterguy2375

I raised this with the manufacturer. The motor has been too detuned and held back by the controller. Controller will burn if power is increased so it ends up not going uphills well. You can go into the controller settings and change the current right up but that will guarantee to burn the controller.

Unfortunately it's not adjustable. It's a very hard setup, together with hard solid tyres. It's way better than no suspension, but not as great as fluid suspension or C type suspension setups. You can change the front end using AliExpress stuff but it's expensive

Fully charged and unlocked, riding on a very short private property, relatively flat surface with my weight, about 75kg and backpack of 5kg, I could get 38kmph. There's really no need to go that fast on public roads, I only did that on private property for testing purposes.

That may be the brakes themselves not aligning properly so it runs on one side. The screeching noise is something caught on the disc or pads. I'll do another video on the weekend to fix this. It's not an easy fix.

Do you have suggestions for those who occasionally want to travel down sandy roads such as those into Kilcarnup and Bob's Hollow? I am reluctant to drive my moto vehicle down such tracks lest I get stuck or find a need to turn around, or just go to the side for someone else to pass by me. My sight isn't good for driving in confined spaces.

Got our 2 x H5 GTs yesterday. Very quick delivery. Looks like they decided to add the small trundle wheels that ween't present on your scooter. Good idea too as they protect the bottom of the scooter when it is folded up. Quite a bit heavier than I thought they might be despite knowing the weight when I bought them. Reality Vs expectation I guess :) Made a quick unboxing and assembly vid for anyone who is interested: kzitem.info/news/bejne/sXdruHyasomHfI4&ab_channel=WesternAustraliaNowandThen

There were holes cut out for them, and I asked Corey to put the wheels in place of the holes. They are fantastic for lugging the thing around when it's folded up and chucked in the ute. That rear foot rest is fantastic for attaching a milk crate to and using that milk crate as a storage for travelling around and putting shopping in.

Just purchased 2 of these so it will be interesting to see what they are like. Interestingly, the Leitner bikes were actually chaper than these scooters so someone is making a lot of money out of escooters.

Hey bud, would this scooter handle a golf course?
@thatscooterguy2375
Жыл бұрын
Not on the greens, the solid tyres would destroy the surface. The scooter itself rolls ok on short grass i.e. the fairways. On long grass, it can struggle a little i.e. the rough. The extended deck is awesome for attaching the golf bag.

hey man, im think of purchasing a hetzer h5 pro would u have any suggestions?
@thatscooterguy2375
Жыл бұрын
The H5 Pro is good value. It's the same as the GT minus all the weight. It's built well but has the same issues getting up hills. Range is a little less than GT at 31.5km but there is so much space to upgrade to a larger cheap AliExpress battery. Be extremely careful not to step on the rear mud guard, that part is $50 and hard to find if you damage it. If you accidentally break anything, message me straight away for tips to fix it, or if the scooter has issues within warranty, I can help with sorting it out and Hetzer would post parts to you. Lubricate the nuts and bolts as they will rust. Solid tyres are great but ride is a little harsh. I would choose H5 and H5 Pro over GT. Let me know if you want me to do a video on the H5 Pro.

I could also recommend the Bolzzen Magneto 4818 but the problem with that is the price. It's $1,399, so a lot more money but it comes with a better list of inclusions. I can post a video of this as well if you want. Weather is so bad at the moment for videos.

@@patlord1968 that range is at 25kms per hour on flat ground. I'm 75kg as well. Prices for all electric scooters are crazy at the moment because of the bad exchange rate and supply issues, so choices are limited in the $1000 range. Be very very careful not to step or jump on the mudguard. It has a break light cable built into it. The Dragon scooters are about $100 more if you want to look at that. Scooteroo in Perth stopped stocking Dragon scooters so I can not review them so I have no idea whether they are any good.

Ask the guys at Hetzer about the new 1200 model, now that's fun! They send via Toll. Toll is expensive and they just drop it off at your door and run. If you are worried that no one would be home, just ask Hetzer if they deliver to a Toll depot instead. It came in 4 days from Melbourne to Perth if that helps
