Hello from the sewing room!
I’m making a Halloween hexagon/spider web table topper.
I begin with a strip set made from six two-inch x width of fabric strips. Please see my separate video on how to assemble the strip set for some pointers and tips. The link to that video is here: • Strip Set Tutorial: Q...
I then show you how to cut the strip set into six 60-degree triangles using either a rectangular quilting ruler or a 60-degree triangular ruler.
Then I show you how to arrange and sew the triangles together to form the hexagon table topper.
I give an overview of how I finish the topper: I layer the top with batting and quilt the top to the batting. I then add the backing fabric.
Please see my holiday placemat video here for a detailed look at how I attach the backing fabric and finish the project without binding: • Holiday Placemat Tutor...
Time stamp: 14:00
I think this would also be beautifully finished with a traditional quilt sandwich and binding. Use your favorite technique to make the topper special for you!
