that is some project look awesome. it only can put the batteries on the front with removable connectors so it could more cargo friendly.

LiFePo batteries don't need to "breathe", they are sealed. If they start to vent then you've probably ruined them. I've built a double pane 1/2 inch plexiglass top that is bolted down using 3/8 inch bolts and welded down nuts. I'll show this in another video. Thanks for watching .

It weighs about 50 lbs and yes aluminum would be better but not only is it more expensive but it also requires a different skill set to weld. Maybe on my next conversion I'll broach those issues. Thanks for the comment

It cannot be submerged but it will stand a little splashing.

still no spoofing of signal, just driving without power steering. The car is light enough that it really is not necessary.

Why are you covering the battery frame with PVC ? Let the cells breathe... How are you holding the cells down ? - in case of roll over.

I don't know if I missed the power steering issue but did you figure out how to spoof the speed sensor? I see some of the conversion units have a knob to adjust the speed signal but I don't know what signal or freq they are using.

You're starting to think like an automotive engineer fitting that fuse under there. :). You may consider using an electronically generated pulse for the computer rather than trying to recreate the original setup, a voltage to frequency convertor would probably work the more throttle or potentiometer in your case the higher the frequency I'll have a look around for you to see if that comes in a kit form from somewhere.
