@@WanderingWagars We quickly fell in love with Lake Superior Provincial Park - Rabbit Blanket Lake. It allowed us to spend as much time on/around Lake Superior as we wanted but Rabbit Blanket Lake Campground was so beautifully rustic and private when we settled in at the end of the day.

SPENT A GOOD PART OF THE SUMMER THERE WHEN I TURNED 16 WITH THE JUNIOR FOREST RANGER PROGRAM...1965 ..CALLED SIBLEY THEN...AWESOME EXPERIENCE...THERE USED TO BE LOTS OF MOOSE THERE..I HEAR THEY'RE GONE NOW...I WAS INJURED CLIMBING DOWN A PART OF THE GIANT WHEN A FRIEND ABOVE ME DISLODGED A ROCK THAT SMACKED ME ON THE BACK OF THE HEAD...IT WAS SOMEWHERE AROUND AN OLD FIRE TOWER...NOT THE STEEPEST PART BY ANY MEANS..WE PROBABLE HELPED START SOME OF THE TRAILS THAT PEOPLE USE NOW...

That’s an amazing incredible experience. There definitely are fewer moose than there used to be around the area. What a shame. Thanks for your work helping to create an amazing park!

The top the giant trail was different back then and had a scramble over scree followed by a near vertical climb up a chimney. The trail was changed (sometime in 1990-2010) and is now longer but less technical.
