The 13th Stage of the Ireland Way was by far the most difficult. Not because of the terrain, but because of the weather. After a relentless rain storm, my rain jacket “wetted out” and was no longer able to repel the rain. Wet, cold and shivering, (the early stages of hypothermia) I found refuge in a B&B, recovered, and resumed my trek to Belleek and the end of the Big Dog Way.
The 14th Stage of the Ireland Way/Ulster Way is a "Link Section and it is recommended to use public transport." A taxi collected me in Belleek and transported me to the Mellon Country Inn.
