Herb Pedersen is SO under-rated!! His harmony backing on any track he sings is absolute perfection!

I think it's hysterical that Chris Hillman performed this song on Ralph Emory's show. It's almost as good as if he would have sung Drug Store Truck Driving Man. Ralph Emory hated the Byrds and the Rock and Roll influence on Country Music and he treated Gram Parsons terribly on his radio show after the Byrds played the Opry. Ralph Emory asked Roger Mcguinn about how Gram Parsons was doing on Nashville Now when Gram died about 10 years prior. Ralph Emory was a jackass who didn't even like most of the music he played.

Roger gave Ralph a great answer: "Still dead, Ralph".

absolutely beautiful. Thankyou for posting. I just saw Chris Roger and Marty perform on he Sweetheart of the Rodeo Tour. Best concert I have ever seen. The most perfect voices, great songs and incredible musicians.

Gram gets the credit he deserves for being so innovative in Country Rock, but let's not forget Chris Hillman in all of that. He was a big part of it, too.

Great song & harmonies, nice to hear it sung without the booming bass that mars the Gilded Palace of Sin version.
